yeah, but i don't think that affects my point: we won a title without having many feared shooters. danny green was the only guy teams really wanted to guard out there, and he hit jack squat during the run, too.

i just think people overrate long-range shooting at the expense of equally or more important things (defense, hoop iq, etc.). i mean, i'd love to have guys that do everything, but if it's duncan robinson or dorian finney smith/bruce brown types, i'm going with the latter.

and i know DFS and brown shot well from three the past year or two, but both guys are generally left wide open at all times and thus have similar effects on team offense. they're not shooters.

 

That's a fact. We hit 3's, but no team was game planning to stop Rondo and Co from deep. Opportunistic type of stuff that happened to work out.

 

If Lebron and AD are giving folks the business like they should, open three point looks get created.

 

The issue is finding that third team who will take Russ. So far, all we’ve heard is that the Nets won’t.

wondering what's happening with huff. again, i'd give him a guaranteed vet min, and i think lots of teams should consider it.

Never put in the effort to understand what Exhibit-10 contracts mean. Help, anyone?

 

Pretty much a training camp invite

 

I kinda get that then for the “Exhibit” part. What’s the “10” referring to I wonder as camp lasts longer of course?

 

Exhibits spell out some details, mostly good stuff regarding a player’s salary, years, guarantees, etc but the exhibit 10 attachment (there are others, 1-9) provides for them to be both on the team and the G-league team and still under contract and not counting as a roster spot until made an official player.

Out of everyone I watched during Summer League, who wasn’t a lottery pick, Huff looked like the most NBA ready to me. I guess it’s just a numbers game and Rob feels we already have enough bigs.

More like Brown, White and a couple of picks IMO. Brown is probably the best player they can get back for a 34 year old Durant.
