Curry is an expiring and remember he didn't go to BRK by choice, also any reason he may have had for staying is getting blown up right now. BRK might be better off to get an additional asset for him like our '29 pk. On the other hand, he could go out in a deal for KD too.

It’s possible we should move on, IF there are other deals to be had that would improve the team, or we may end up with nothing

Its pretty much just rewording the idea that Kyrie trade doesn't happen until KD is traded. I think in order to really get it moving KD is going to have to come out and say something or this will continue to be in a holding pattern.

unless this has all been a ploy by kyrie/KD to get nash fired, i can't see both of them returning. the standstill is likely due to brooklyn asking for a king's random in exchange for KD and no one biting. if gobert was able to fetch what minny traded for him, i can't imagine what they're asking for KD

f***ing KD.... he's holding us hostage more than the snake did... and he's not even a FA. Tired of this BS.

as I've said before I would do the 2 picks if that means the deal gets done now.

We don't have as much leverage as people think. Too many variables that can screw up this deal, like KD or Kyrie changing their mind which is not unheard of, or Brooklyn deciding to take a gamble and run it back with both of them.

ideally, since we're giving up both picks we should be able to include THT or Nunn and get both Harris and Curry back.

Plus I haven't seen any other deal suggested that even remotely gets us back into contention so it's Kyrie or bust for me.

I think JTA, Reaves or Stan will be in the closing lineup, regardless if we do the Kyrie trade. If Curry and/or Harris come too, one of them will be there but not both

Curry and Irving in the closing lineup together is not great I admit

I'm also in the camp that we should just get this done now by including the second pick. This is the one realistic way to get us back in/near title contention, the longer we wait to get it done the longer we allow for something crazy to happen that takes it off the table.

All you guys clamoring for sending out both FRPs better not be the same ones posting that Pelinka bid against himself and overpaid for AD.

It depends on how serious is Kyrie. If we trade for him, is to keep him long term, post-Lebron. And he has a history of being unstable.

After learning of his relationship with Kobe, I got motivated to have him. He's a great fit with AD. But I understand the reservations to do it

It can go very wrong if we trade 2 picks for him and after next year he's gone and we suck for a while

Although I think the stall on this deal is because we don't want to get Harris because of his contract

Lol..he gave up 4 for AD alone, 2 for Kyrie and another elite shooter sounds about right.

As I said before I don’t do two Frp’s in a Kyrie Russ swap alone. Throw in Curry and I’m all in. I’d also probably do it for Harris back if THT and Nunn are included. Either way you’ve got a contender.

Spida seems to be available. Knicks are going for it

I'm sure there will be better packages but worth a shot.
I don't think he has it though, but he's more reliable than Kyrie in terms of common sense

The problem with sending out 2 FRPs isn’t the value of the picks, but moreso handcuffing our ability to use them to make other deals.

Unless Pelinka can take a page out of David Griffen’s book and out the proper protections on the picks so that he can use them in another trade with the remaining protected spots. (Double dipping)

If we use both picks on Kyrie, we hinder our ability to attach a pick to THT or Nunn in a separate deal.

Seems like Knicks and Heat are in the hunt.

Knicks have the picks and salary ballast for the trade. Werent there Heat rumors since midseason? I’m sure Riley will get it done with Herro and picks
