we need a bazooka of a trade to happen in order for fans to be happy.

    No pea shooters

Maybe an uzi, but at least some heavy artillery to support this team

    Am I doing it right?

…. meaning entire Lakers organization assuming the “position” and saying goodbye to our 2nd chance at not losing a valuable Caruso like glue player gem in AR? Maybe Indiana will fight with them to play ball with us even harder?

Ugggh. The gift that keeps on giving … the Westbrick trade.

    Yeah, man.

I really like Talen and think he'll be a nice player, but I wouldn't mind seeing him involved or Nunn for that matter.

Let's hope it doesn't go behind that & Brodie. But I am interested in Richardson. He has some potential and only 28. McDermott? Not so interested.

Another point made by a poster on LG: Sean worked for the Spurs for a number of years. Maybe they'll consider the deal because of their respect for Sean.

    Shrugs.

Look, I don't want to get political but, Joe Harris ankle sounds similar to Steph Curry's from before, so I think he will be fine.

    Hahhahahahahahhahahahhh!!! Got you!

If Turner is indeed involved, that changes everything for me. I know there was a report that there isn't much of a market for him. If you can get Indy to sell low, you pull that trigger on .04 seconds

I'm with you. Yes, there's a concern about Turner's ability to stay healthy, but if both him and AD make it through a post season we would instantly have the best interior D in the league and Hield would add a consistent 3 ball.

    Turner
    AD
    LeBron
    Hield
    Reeves

    Jones
    Bryant
    Johnson
    Walker IV
    Pippen Jr.

Agreed, but when was the last time ONE of them were healthy? For both to be healthy would be an anomaly

If that is the Nets position we should make the trade for Turner. I just question if it’s really available as I don’t trust Indy (or the Spurs) to actually deal with us.

No for the 50th time to Buddy Hield. For one thing, he's owed more money long term than Harris. The second thing is that Irving, Curry and Harris all shoot better from 3 than Buddy Hield. I'm a big fan of the Myles Turner idea though. Turner is on an expiring contract too. Trade THT, Nunn and a 1st for Turner and then Westbrook and a 1st for Kyrie and Curry, and that is a homerun. That's an elite roster, potentially the best starting 5 in the NBA.
    PG- Kyrie
    Sg- Curry
    SF- James
    Pf- Davis
    C- Turner

Run that all day. The bench is young, athletic and hungry. Now we'd have a 2nd unit with Walker,Reaves,Johnson (or Brown), Jones and Bryant. Bring in a vet PG like Bev, Bledsoe, or even Bradley.

That's an impressive 12-13 man deep rotation IMO.

I'm not enthusiastic about a 38 year old Lebron James, being the only legit playmaker on my team. A 28 year old Lebron absolutely, not the guy we have now.

I don't ask what Lebron wants any longer. I simply do what is best for the franchise. If you can get two borderline all stars vs one star who is partially unavailable, I may lean toward the the two borderline all stars. You already have two stars. You need people to eat up minutes and play a role. Not divas worried about their movie career or shapes of planets, podcasts, etc.

Again, I really like the Hield Turner for Russ idea. If that’s available it’s a great plan B. Best I’ve heard. In some ways I prefer it to a Kyrie trade because… no Kyrie headaches to deal with!
