Just thinking to myself here .... how does a marketing guy for AEG get up to the hour inside information from Lakers FO 3 years running on any of this stuff, report it on a highly visible forum like LB, have that get picked up on other Lakers sites including Reddit with hordes of thousands of readers .... and keep his or her job with no one from either AEG or Lakers being aware of it?



I'd feel better if I could, and I DO want to believe. Aside from the entertainment provided if all is only a well executed ruse. Then I feel bad for doubting and smack myself.

I do agree with this. It's part of what makes me think the other deals that have been tossed around aren't real.

 

yeah, i don't know what they're like. but as much as folks are worried about us losing out on kyrie, they need to be worried about us starting off nicely and being disinclined to bail them out. or us finding a trade partner we like better.

roby's got pretty good size and athleticism for a modern 4, too.

 

Don't worry all! We want LAL to be patient so we get the best deal. Look no further than how BKN is handling the KD trade negotiations to see their perspective on this debacle. Remember, as I mentioned before that is their biggest priority, so it is likely a few things need to settle first before talks can progress through the final stages.

Pay attention to the reports released this morning. It is pretty clear that BKN is aggressively trying to send a message to the league after some internal discussions over the weekend. I am still cautiously optimistic this gets done, and LAL is too, but it may take a little time.

 

As always, we have to take anything we hear with a grain of salt and that includes from the Shams, Woj's of this world.

However, I will say that these organizations aren't exactly tight ships and things get leaked and rumored throughout them more than fans might guess. Especially once players and their reps get a hold of information.

Is this just today or over the last week? I know a lot of people (me included) were hammering the Lakers championship odds late last week when KD first asked for the trade. I got in at +2000 then.

Past few days. Basically since KD requested a trade. Bookies are basically saying Kyrie to LA is a lock. Some sites have us at +700.

 

Why is that?

 

Outside of Lebron and AD, the rest of the Championship team's roster was average. According to the media " experts ".

 

An article on Covers.com today says DraftKings currently has us at -400 to be Kyrie's next team, with staying in Brooklyn as the next most likely option at +600. That's a pretty substantial favorite.

 

DK has us at -350 to land Kyrie right now. Looks like it was -400 earlier.

On July 1st we were -125, so even though all is quiet the bookies are insanely confident.
