Toronto are a sleeper team. If they sign Durant they’re favourites. I’m not sure what the package would be though. Their roster as is:

Thad Young / Precious

Basically they have 8 wings 6’5 to 6’9 and FVV. They could consolidate a few of those and add Durant.

 

Lakers are thinking about the future but also trying to squeeze one more title with the Lebron Era. Lebron winning 2 titles in LA puts him in the top 5 as an all time Laker player. And more importantly, 18 to pass the C Bags. Alot at stake here.

 

I understand wanting Harris more, but we already have two Superstars to worry about staying healthy.
I would be stoked if Rob somehow roped in Seth!

 

Seth is very underrated due to his size, and there are obvious defensive concerns but he can really BALL when it matters.

You will be saluting the next batch after this upcoming championship too. I can't remember all the role players that played with Magic and Kareem. Or Shaq and Kobe..5 years from now you will probably have to pause to remember the bubble roster. The beat goes on..Superstars get the hardware.

The only thing that sucks about this IMO is that I wish Kyrie was the man that Westbrook is. I just despise Kyrie because he thinks he’s so much smarter than he is. Westbrook is actually a good human being.

Sanity! Thank-you! I still have PTSD from last season, so when I see the list of all the 34 year olds who didn't play D (or O), my knee-jerk reaction is: "GTFO! All of y'all!" Even Melo. But when I spend 10 mins taking long, slow, deep breaths, I can see re-signing Avery for his D (he can still play it), and MAYBE 'Melo for his scoring, but his manD is is weak. I WANT A TOP 5 DEFENSIVE TEAM. Baze's D has gone south, and I think Dwight has had it.

I paraphrase MLK, way outta context: I have (had) a dream...that one hour after the Lakers' final regular season game, they'd tell Dwight, Melo, Baze, Ellington, Ariza and Melo to get lost. Even call a special press conference to announce this and only this...that's how effed up I was over the season.

Defensive concerns are a little overrated. Defensive win shares shows he doesn't kill you at all. In fact he rates fairly well
