I agree. It seems the Lakers really want to have cap space next year or Harris's injury is pretty bad. Harris has arguably the best three point stoke in the NBA, and he is 6-6. I rather have that next to the 6-0 Kyrie than the 6-2 Curry.

Kyrie has talked glowingly of LeBron in the recent past. Made he just realized life was good then?

Phil Handy and him are beyond tight.

Darvin Ham has some toughness in him. Won't get pushed around.

It's worth the risk on an expiring contract.

Harris if healthy is a way better 3&D guy than Rob's crush Buddy Hield

I honestly can’t believe that the Nets are blowing it up. I don’t remember a team being this close to contending just throwing in the white flag. Can anyone else?

Durant is a top 5 player
Kyrie and Ben Simmons are top 20 when healthy
Patty Mills is 6th man of the year quality
Seth Curry and Joe Harris are two of the best shooters in the league
Claxton is a great energy big

They were one wing and one big away. Which they could of gotten in FA.

    Kyrie/Mills
    Harris/Curry
    Durant/Wing
    Simmons/Big
    Claxton/Big

They had FIVE 40% three point shooters alongside Simmons who would just thrive in that setup. His defence would fix their wing or PG defence hole. Just unbelievable to me.

If i were cautiously optimistic in my life, I wouldn't be rich and my own boss. Get that lame line out of your mouth.

There is in Canada, and if Durant gets dealt there with Toronto keeping Barnes, we might be in trouble come June.

The thing that you're disregarding is that we sucked so much without AD and LeBron this year that they were forcing coming back, which meant longer missing time afterwards and poor play. If we were able to hold the bar like the year before, they would be better later on and we would not suck so much
I think there's a few names missing outside PG. Such as

    SG
    Josh Jackson
    Culver
    Lamb

    I like Rivers too

    SF
    Okogie
    Edwards

Would be a nice add, similar to Stan

    PF

    Juancho Hernangomez
    Aldridge
    Paschall

Paschall would be my favourite add after Warren

    C
    Whiteside
    Dieng

I agree that only a trade can salvage this roster. Otherwise:

    Russ, THT
    Reaves, Nunn, Lamb
    LeBron, Walker, Troy
    Stan, JTA, Paschall
    AD, Jones, Gabriel

Hope this post is worthless in a few hours and news about Kyrie break out

To some here, those very important role players were meaningless. To us who value everything they brought to aChampionship TEAM, nothing could be further from the truth.

At the end of the day, even if this blows up after a year, he can leave and we have cap space. It gives us such a better shot this season to actually contend so this is a W regardless.

I get it that the Lakers are thinking of their future post Lebron, and Harris contract is up to 2024, but he can help really help now and fill a major void. I wouldn't mind taking on that contract, he will be an expiring soon.

not only that but there is a huge motivation for Kyrie to play well and behave, otherwise he may not get another NBA contract ever again.
