Yep. All of this for a guy who might retire in 2 years. Lol.

And all because we traded for one of the worst players in the NBA.

    Oh, Rob.

Agreed. I would tell the Nets that you get zero picks if you insist on Reaves.

I’d just tell them to eff off. Kyrie is a headache. We are taking him off their hands. But he’s not someone I am very comfortable rooting for. Reaves is our most likable player and I wouldn’t give him away. We already lost a fan favorite in Caruso. At the end of the day I feel a whole lot better about Reaves than Kyrie.

Brogdon and Gallo are waking hospital beds. Slow your roll.

How would everyone rate our offseason so far? From A to E (or 5 to 1)?

I’d give it a D or a D+ so far. I really like the Jones and Toscano pickups and getting rid of a lot of deadwood from last season was smart.

But once again we’ve over corrected. It’s like our only goal was youth. We didn’t sign any real size (I believe only Lebron, AD, Gabriel and Jones are above 6’6). We didn’t sign any shooting (I read that only Lebron shot above the league average last season?). And we used our MLE on a player who isn’t a large wing or Center and doesn’t defend or shoot well.

Hopefully we have a trade or two up our sleeves. Otherwise this is a rough one.

D, hard to think of a worse use for our MLE, plus we went from all washed shooters to no shooters.

but we will go to B+/A- if we get Kyrie + Harris/Curry without giving both picks.

I think it's a mistake if we pass on Joe Harris, considering he's the best 3&D guy we could possibly hope for in the next few years with this core considering our cap situation after this trade.

unless they know he's finished after the injury of course.

I don’t mind Harris but I like that we’re at least trying to get Curry instead.

    Bring this one home Rob.

Cautiously optimistic that a deal will be done, because I just want to watch good Laker basketball again and not just in Summer League

I definitely think the injury is a concern. The other factor is that Curry is an expiring.

Chris Haynes is one of the more solid NBA rumor guys.

Slight correction, AD brought in a championship with KCP, Kuz, Caruso, Rondo, Danny Green, Dwight, McGee, Markief Morris......All guys that currently are not on the roster. As for Westbrook, anything was too much to give.

    Yup.
Dumping the worst trade in Laker history and adding one of the best PGs in the game marks as an A+ in my book.
If Rob gives up BOTH picks, it gets downgraded to a C+.
If he ends up giving one pick PLUS Reaves, it’s a D-.
If Rob can’t complete the Westbrick for Irving deal, he gets a F——————————, loses his job, and I completely check out of an entire Laker season for the first time in 37 years.
