I, for one, am VERY thankful. He’s barely a backup at this point worth the trouble.

I'd personally love Schroder back as backup PG if we ditch Westbrick

at least Westbrick has a expiring contract, Lakers would had been stuck with schroder if he accepted that contract

The ‘why’ of this is kinda just “because Rob”, it’s what he does, bids against himself. I still can’t believe we GAVE UP a first round pick to get Russ, as if Kuz, KCP, and Trez weren’t enough.

Rob has escaped some situations by the hair on his little nuts. Had Schroder taken Rob's offer we'd have him for 3 more years. Could you imagine paying that guy 21 million a year for 4 years? Thank God for greed, Dennis saved us with his. Not that it would have made much of a difference last year as we were signing only vet min guys and MLE or this season for that matter but next year we are clear on cap and the next. It could have been disastrous. He's been lucky and now we are set up for cap next year.

Rob has unnecessarily overpaid now for both AD (who was only willing to come to the Lakers) and for Westbrook (who no one wanted). Let's see if he can not bungle this Kyrie deal.

AD brought in a ring, and Russell Westbrook made a trade demand to come to the Lakers. Washington turned down that offer twice. KCP AND Kuz weren't bringing in a Kyrie Irving. Washington has already traded KCP and Trez and was shopping Kuz. I'll wait to see what happens before knocking Rob. We weren't going to do squat last season with James and Davis playing in 21 games. It didn't matter who was on the roster.

That ship has sailed thankfully. So glad he turned down our $84 million offer.

curious. don't think nunn has to be there for salary purposes, so the lakers must be insisting on his inclusion? i'd rather keep nunn and hold a pick out of the deal, personally.

We gave up a 1st rd pick for Dennis and one for Russ. I'm not sure why it's a problem to give up 1 for Kyrie.

Nunn and picks isn’t a sticking point for me. Reaves is.

If the Laker insisting on Nunn being included, I bet it’s because he won’t be ready to start game one of this upcoming season.
