Kyrie did out play Curry in the 2016 finals, but Curry was banged up in that series too.

No doubt, my point is if he was a top 5 or top 10 level talent, teams would ignore those issues. They do so with Kawhi, who is injury prone and every bit as mercurial in his own way as Kyrie. If he was that talented, he wouldn't be had for Westbrook and no one would have any qualms about resigning him. We just need to look at his playoff performances without Lebron to see his impact.

Nice offensive player, amazing fit with AD & Lebron, and a great third option.

Kyrie offensive success isn't dependent on Lebron. He is more of a one on one player, kobe in a sense, Lebron may open up the court to make the game easier, but with the Cavs, Lebron would defer to Kyrie in parts of the game, play off the ball and let Kyrie go to work, it sure paid off in the 2016 finals.

I like Austin, he has grit and a lot of potential. He's also on an expiring deal that isn't guaranteed. Brooklyn might like that combination too. I hope he doesn't get moved though, but I guess if we want Irving right now instead at the trade deadline, every contract we have outside of Lebron's and AD's are up for discussion.

I didn't say his offensive success was dependent on Lebron. I said without him he hasn't had any results in the playoffs when it counts. Kyrie didn't make the playoffs before Lebron got there (that can sort of be excused because he didn't have any help).

After Irving left Lebron, he hasn't made it past the second round. He got bounced in the second round with a super team in Boston consisting of Tatum, Brown, Smart, Horford, Hayward, Rozier and Baynes (who made the conference finals when he was injured the season before). He got bounced in the second round last season with Harden & KD and then he got swept in the first season with KD this year.

There isn't anything wrong with being a top 20-30 player, but a top 10 player he is not.

    Man, the disrespect.
Kyrie has done it on the big stage before. I couldn’t care less about regular season performers, or guys who never could lead their teams all the way.
    He is a Champion.
He’s still better than most of those guys on your list who haven’t won a damn thing.

Last I checked, there aren’t many Champions currently in the League who can run an offense, get his own shot whenever he wants, shoot well from anywhere on the floor, and play seamlessly alongside LeGM.
He’s a TOP FIVE PG in the game right now.

Last night another reporter from Phoenix had mentioned this:

And we discussed how this guy has legit sources and has been the one to break the Nash to LA news back in the day.

Well this is what he also had to say about this Flex guy who just mentioned this BKN-PHX-UTA deal

So maybe Mitchell to Brooklyn has some legs to it.

The thing is though, I feel like these rumors would be in conflict. Feel like Nets would be even less interested in Russ if they’re trading KD for Mitchell.
