For us to include Reaves I'd imagine it being a pretty big trade in terms of teams and players involved.

If Reaves is involved we better be getting more back than just Harris. But if we don’t it wouldn’t surprise me, Rob is always losing trades, throwing in extra he doesn’t need to.

We speculate and speculate when this could already be done, stalled, or whatever.

That's the purpose of the forum, but it just amuses me.

Like we spent the last dozen or so pages debating about who to spend our TPMLE and Rob already had a deal in place with Lonnie before FA probably began.

I'm wondering if the framework is already there for a Kyrie deal and they are just waiting for the KD deal to be completed so they can get serious with Kyrie.

My logic says you have two superstars and while you can field potential offers from teams, it's better to handle one of them at a time and go from there.

Let the KD trade conclude and let's get Kyrie please...lol

If Rob had Buddy's poster in his room, he would be a Laker right now.

I thought I read they had to trade Kyrie first in order to trade KD to Phoenix because of some weird rule?

seems Phoenix is the frontrunner to get KD atm.

I have a feeling the Suns won't be able to swing it unless Ayton is a player the Nets want.

I would have preferred using the MLE on DiVincenzo over Lonnie Walker.

DiVincenzo is the better 3 point shooter and has the Darvin Ham connection….

… but I guess the Klutch connection trumps that

Yep. I guess questions of a deteriorating relationship are just "rumors" for now.

We're still in the Klutch business and going strong.

    Lol

at least one of them, and probably someone else from a 3rd team. i'm assuming THT and nunn would also be in any deal so there better be more than just kyrie and harris/curry going to LA

That would not hinder them making a deal with Phoenix. The holdup with Phoenix could be if it’s centered around a S&T involving Ayton, then hard cap scenario could create a problem. And would make it challenging (if not impossible) for Westbrook to end up in Brooklyn.

There is a rule that hinders Brooklyn from acquiring players on rookie scale extensions (Adebeyo) since they have Ben Simmons. So it’s possible you were getting the two scenarios mixed up.

Absolutely not. The Nets should not have the leverage to demand Reaves.

And about those backup plans of Hield or Gordon, if either of those trades could be made with only THT and/or Nunn, then sure that wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.

But if those backup plans also required sending out some combination of Reaves and/or a first rounder, then hell no.

And from what I can tell the math for Hield would ONLY be possible with THT, Nunn AND SJ + Reaves/Gabriel

So I don’t want to think about these backup plans.

It’s simple: Russ, THT, Nunn, ‘27 FRP, ‘29 FRP.

Use some combination of that to get Kyrie and either Seth Curry or Joe Harris. Get it done Rob.
