    had the same thought. when they lost in the finals because nobody could handle the ball and create i was like...that's a tough issue...because smart was the dpoy, and playing him at sg and bringing in a lesser defender (which pretty much all good offensive pgs are nowadays) will change what they do.

    you couldn't hunt anybody on boston's defense in crunch time. now you can. then again, they shouldn't have to count on brown and tatum to create off the dribble (neither is actually great at it, imo). tradeoff.

    eh, brown and tatum were healthy for the full playoff run. has to happen again.

    on paper, they should definitely be in the mix, though.

    Can't get a deal like that because the Lakers either have trash to give or go after the top 3 players in the league.

    Indiana needed to drop a big salary and take on really nothing. C Bags traded nothing for a player who might help big time if healthy.

    actually think that's below his value, tbh. high iq guy who plays a little bigger than he is and plays within his capabilities and the team scheme. i think he's a little underrated because he doesn't dunk or something.

    edit: just realized that's only a smidge over what the mavs paid mcgee.

    sort of sucks that the market for good centers was exactly 1.3 million more than the mini mle this year.

    i mean, i like who we got at the minimum, but looney/hartenstein/bamba etc. would have been more exciting.

    i guess that's the luxury tax rules working for the most part, though.
