This roster as of now is a younger version of last year; out of the play in

It isn't. It's worse. Lebron is a year old, AD is a year older. Role players are likely to be the same. Free agents are worse players than the players we lost and will lose. And Russell Westbrook.

We'd have to clear out some guards. Nunn and THT for some bigger wings

Let's be real...these signings are fillers. They won't have an impact. They barely had an impact playing with their former team. What makes yall think they'll have an impact playing with lebron james & AD.. let alone RW or hopefully kyrie.... these signings are whatever, definitely not impactful. My opinion.

I think it’s a hair better because we have athletes now and at least won’t get run out of the gym by all the young players in the league taking laps on the old former stars. The young guys we brought in should at least be hungry and not looking to let that stuff happen, so as is we’d at least be in more games but still lose them in the end, because no, it’s not a good roster at the moment. If they can add like 2 solid more rotation players and swap Russ for Kyrie and Harris or someone else decent I think that makes us a probable playoff team though, if relatively healthy. I still would have preferred the Rozier, Oubre, Plumlee route, but whatever, anything to get rid of Russ.

We could use some size though, last season lack of size killed us when Dwight and AD we’re out. Just Jones and AD isn’t much better, we need actual backup PF, not LeBron, not Melo, that doesn’t get it done. We need that Morris type.

They have guys who can run the full length of the court, it's an upgrade from last season.

Really don't get our infatuation with having a surplus of guards.

This was a good haul relatively, we were all so happy signing younger hard working players like Wenyen and Stan last season, this is an extension of that and what I asked for when we signed a rookie coach

this roster isn't better than last season's. We probably get Nunn back but we lost Monk.

but people are forgetting that if we're any good, we're likely to add a couple of ring chasers in the buyout market.

None of these guys can score like Monk, or shoot like Melo. Losing Monk makes us worse.
Nunn actually playing should help a lot.

AD being a top 15 player would help. When he played he looked soft and slow and predictable most of the time, holding the ball and bricking jumpers.

Ehhh. Looking at the roster I say Put some protections on a pick and get the deal done Rob. Gotta hope Ham, LeBron and AD can keep Irving focused

I feel like you’re forgetting how bad this team was last year. Some of our big signings were unplayable, to the point that we were relying on buyout pickups and an undrafted rookie. Ariza, DeAndre, Baze, and even Ellington could not be played, they were a disaster. Hell even Dwight was not able to hang some games, his lateral movement was almost gone. This roster isn’t great at the moment, but it’s at least going to be able to run with some other teams, Jones alone gives us a vertical threat we didn’t have at ANY point last season, as a lob threat and decent rim protector.

Drummond is a great signing for the Bulls. Seems like a great fit with what they have in place.

Cousins had some stretches last year. I'd go for it. After today's spending, why not?
