Espn is saying that the Nets claim the entire roster is up for trade discussions right now.

I’d do that, you’d have to think the Lakers would consider it, unless they’re that stuck on their ridiculous ‘23 cap space plan.

I think something like this would be what we’re looking for especially if we are giving up a pick.

True. I’m honestly still not high on Kyrie and KD bailing only reinforces that. but it is better than Russ so yeah. We will see.

Trading Russ for Kyrie would be an amazing off-season. Kyrie can actually... Score.

It’s never been about him on the court. He’s a much better fit. It’s everything else that worries me.

yeah, the only way i would want anything to do with kyrie is if it means russ is gone

that's the only way it'd be worth it to bring on a cancer like kyrie

depends on everyone's valuation of harris. he only played 14 games last year and wasn't great. i view taking him on as something of risk. it adds to our tax bill for this year, too. to me, his inclusion means no picks or fewer picks.

Yes, Harris is a risk. Recent injury history, bad contract. He’d be a liability. Don’t want him unless we absolutely have to…

… is exactly the messaging we should be sending to the Nets.

Because in actuality, if you’re able to leverage the negotiations to acquire Harris INSTEAD of giving up first rounders, WHILE dumping Russ for Kyrie that would be such an absolute win.

Yes, it is legitimately somewhat of a risk, but dude is just a season away from shooting 50% from the field and 47% from the three! Definitely a gamble worth taking.

I actually had forgotten that. I have a feeling any deal we make to anyone will include a pick though. We could still protect it.

All I know is we have a year 20 player who can still get it done and an injury prone big. I'll take the risk on Kyrie's brain to make this work because it 100% won't with Russ.
