We’re not a super attractive situation right now.

Wall certainly doesn’t deserve to start, and likely won’t with the Clippers. But it should have been obvious that he wouldn’t sign with us to be Westbrook’s backup.

Yeah. Tampering is a joke. I wish the league would just go ahead and let teams start wheeling and dealing and draft time. Make the contracts / opt in dates/ etc all line up and just end the charade.

 

Not saying just because of Wall, but if WB is still here Free Agency is going to be rough. Just think we have a really bad stigma around the league as long as he is here.

 

how is it impossible? so if they don't play 82 games together, it's not enough time to see how they fit alongside one another? everyone knew it was a bad fit from the start

On the flipside I think we already have our main targets locked up too. I'm looking to be pleasantly surprised. Tampering be damned.

Well this is also a definite possibility. I think the lack of interest between Wall and the Lakers was likely mutual.

Personally I don’t mind missing out on Wall one bit. If Nunn is healthy, I think he’s a much better fit for us than Wall.

Plus if Wall takes away minutes from Reggie Jackson on the Clips, who always murders us, that’s a win in my books.

 

I’m with you on that. Our moves tend to come out of nowhere so I do think we’ve got a couple of guys ready to go once free agency officially kicks off.

 

I was assuming the Clips were going to get Wall for the minimum. If they’re blowing their TPMLE on him, that’s even more of a W in my books.

If Rob had given this version of Wall the TPMLE, I’d have rioted.

No. It's not enough time actually. For one thing, the entire team was basically flipped too. We didn't even get out of training camp with the roster envisioned. I'm with AD, they never played enough together to work out anything.

Everyone knew Lebron needed another Wade/Kyrie instead of an AD. You know..PF they don't thrive with Lebron James. Anyway we'll see , Russ could have balled out and we still weren't going anywhere with James and Davis playing in 21 games. They were both iffy at the end of the season.
