Not so long ago our only option was Wall (and a pick from us).
If there's more options, I would prefer them. But it's crazy if we get Kyrie for a guy who most of us prefer would sit out all season.

if that happens, most likely we'll get some bloated contracts of injury-prone players though, so not a much better outlook there.

I saw Hayward's foot twisted 180 degrees, I seriously doubt that guy, will ever make it through a full season again. Rozier is a small two, he can score but he's not that great of a facilitator. If Charlotte attached a draft pick to that deal ok, but hell no to us giving up one. I'd rather gamble on Turner and Brogdan (preferably Turner and Hield) over any deal involving Gordon Hayward, it's almost a certainty that Hayward won't be around by the playoffs. It would be a little more palatable if he wasn't owed 60 million plus over the next two years.

I just don't want Kyrie. And it has nothing to do with hoops. I question how much he wants to play, he's had injury concerns, questionable locker room guy, etc etc etc.

If we're swinging for the fences on a big name, then I'd rather role the dice on Beal or someone.

I'm good with a straight up deal with the Hornets of Russ for Rozier + whoever else. We'd still have the picks, Nunn, and THT to make more moves and fill out the roster. I'd like to see Rob really build out a complete roster.

I don't see it happening, IMO.

Let's get in the draft and draft a solid player.

We can still put together a good roster.

And hopefully, they can figure something out with Russ.

I'm hoping for a good draft pick as well.

I do expect a move, I just don't know what. Rob clearly wants to change the roster and we love big names. Next couple of weeks should be interesting.

It goes against my gut to take on two injury risks, but I have an affinity for bigs, especially a mobile one that would be able to play alongside AD. I'd rather substitute Hield for Brogdan. Whew..talk about a high risk, huge reward scenario..we could possibly end up with Brogdan, Turner and TJ Warren!!! Add Lebron and AD to the mix, and I'd be holding my breath with every collision that occurred on the court.

I still just can’t see the Pacers dealing with us.

Hmmm. Could the math work for a deal without including Hayward?

Idk @abeer3 is better at this than me.

I will tell you: I'd consider taking in Hayward for draft compensation.

    Give me a 1st.

Oh definitely. Rozier, Hayward, and draft compensation for Russ would be great.

Rozier, Washington, Oubre and Plumlee add up to close to 47 million in salary. Throw in Tucker and Nunn and we'd have multiple options available to make another decent trade.

I like Rozier, but he's signed for a few more years?

    I have to look.

Maybe there's a better deal out there, but getting off of WB would be huge in and off itself.

A lottery pick for Brogdon would be a Knicks type of move.

trade machine says the deal doesn't work, but i think the machine is wrong (it was wrong on another one the other day). those 4 for russ would be great.

we get our dwight-type center, a swiss army knife forward in washington (maybe the jewel of the deal), rozier (whom i like more than everyone on this forum, i think), and oubre as another big wing. basically take care of a lot of holes at once.

    AD/plumlee
    lebron/washington
    oubre/stan
    reaves/THT
    rozier/nunn

that's 10 (10!) real, actual nba players! still have the mini-mle to grab whatever we think we need (really just BPA).

charlotte gets off 23 million next year (beyond what they were going to have) and has a chance to be a moderate spender in FA before lamelo has to get paid on top of bridges.

22 of ours (plumlee, oubre) expires after next year and thus could be trade ballast should something arise at the deadline. we'd have so many trade options all of a sudden.

i much prefer this to a kyrie trade.

eh, not me. we don't gain rotation players, and there's a good chance that both THT and nunn are better players than reddish and burks as soon as this year, imo.
