AD and Westbrook to Washington for Beal, Porzingis and Hachimura. Not sure if Lakers save enough in this deal to get full MLE, but they get closer. After this deal, they still have THT, Nunn, 2027 1st and 2029 1st available to trade in a separate deal. Lakers also could take back KCP or Kuzma in the deal instead of Hachimura, but do not get the immediate cap relief benefit.

Yeah no thanks on Kyrie. And LOL at Simmons suggesting we trade Russ AND our ‘27 and ‘29 picks for him, as if he’s worth that. Guy is always either injured or making up some excuse not to play.

Totally understood. I'd love to try to deal with a team like the Pacers for depth. But LBJ is gonna swing big as GM. If we can get Kyrie for Westbrook roster wise I'd have to take it.

if we don't have to send picks, i can live with it. just feel like we'll be in a similar boat in so many ways. i just don't think three stars is necessary, and it often gets in the way of building a good team.

I honestly just don’t think the Pacers will trade with us.

I dont see why Brookly would take Westbrook for Kyrie. Losing Kyrie for nothing or getting Westbrook in return, I think I would choose the former.

Wow, lots to think about here and given the impasse with the Nets and Irving it’s certainly becoming more of a possibility that it could happen.

On the one hand obviously Kyrie would be a huge upgrade on the court to Russ at this point for us. We would be back to contention and would have a great potential match for AD going forward with Lebron or post Lebron depending on what he does. And we know Irving’s game would complement Lebron’s and AD’s tremendously.

But man do I dislike the guy’s antics when he refuses to play. Not sure if we can handle all the drama. Then again, this is Hollywood. If any team is built for it I suppose it’s the Lakers.

The NBA draft is Thursday so the rumors will be flying hot and heavy all week. I'd pass on anything involving Gordon Hayward or Malcom Brogdon. Kyrie or Beal? I think both are pipe dreams for us honestly, but a disgruntled star wanting out of their current situation, that's a real thing in this league. It also seems that these guys get moved pretty quickly, once they have made up their minds about leaving. Beal has been pretty tongue in cheek..he said that he's made up his mind about where he wants to play, but at the same time, he said that he expects his offseason to be "crazy". It gives the impression that he's asked out but IDK. Kyrie...the owner didn't seem to be happy at all with his act last season. Maybe they are sending him a message, that all is not as sweet as he thought it was.

If these guys actually got moved this week, it wouldn't be as shocking as Lebron announcing his retirement effective immediately. It will probably be only slightly less likely to happen though. I guess we'll see what's smoke and what's not by Thursday night.

The Pacers..besides Myles Turner..what's so great about what they want to move? Brogdan is the red flag of all red flags with injury concerns. Heild makes way too much money and he isn't any better than Malik IMO. I would take TJ Warren on a vet min- show me -type of deal immediately. Other than that...meh.
I'd be cool with prying Terry Rozier some kind of way, but Hayward has to be routed somewhere else, or Charlotte is giving us a 1st round pick. And Hayward would still be routed somewhere else! LOL

The impasse comes from Kyrie wanting a 4 year max. So you aren’t getting Kyrie to opt in and then trading for him. It’s going to be a sign and trade and that hard caps us and also it locks us in for Kyrie for the next 4 years.

And although I love Kyrie’s fit, 4 years with him at the max is about as appealing as signing Harden to the max for the next 4 years. Both seem primed to fall of a cliff or be chronically injured.

Well technically..Kyrie could opt in, with the wink wink agreement, that the recieving team is going to extend him on a max contract during the upcoming season correct? If we got Kyrie, he will get the max from us without question. Worth it? IDK..California has a lot of distractions...

I hate Brogdon's injury history. He'd be amazing here if he was healthy. Dude is rock solid.

Before anyone gets any ideas, they can give him $8.4m and other teams will offer their their full mid level. He's not taking our mini mid or the vet min.

I think we can do better than PJ Tucker with our MLE.

I like Tucker but I’d rather we try to get someone younger.
