I'd much have Melo Jr than Bronny Jr. Most kids don't have or enter the league with Melo-esque footwork and mid range moves. If he keeps passing those on, his kid has a future regardless of what else he can do.

See AD? Damn ball’s not too heavy to pick up and shoot once in awhile. Get a new routine or you’re going to start getting called Brick Jr. :D

    Why?

I swear for a team that needs youth and we're over here trying to re-sign Melo.

Sign an undrafted player and stash him at the end of the rotation instead of Melo.

    Look forward not backward.

i'd love for melo to be our 14th guy. if someone wants him as their 9th guy, he should go there.

I’d love for melo to be part of our 8-9 man rotation. He was a highlight last season alongside Reaves and Monk and I think he has enough left in the tank for another go around.

Guy will shoot 40% from three again and would look totally different playing alongside AD and Lebron for 60 games. There aren’t too many vet minimum guys who can break a game open with their scoring like Melo can. And he is great for the young guys and general team camaraderie.

I’m surprised there hasn’t been any mention of him in the press one way or the other

I'd sign him for the minimum after everything else is addressed. Having a 3-point shooter like him on the bench can be very useful. He should not play significant minutes, so he does not get exploited on defense, that's all.

Good value signing on a bad team last year.

    But he's done.

    Glad we moved on.

    Bye bye.

    That's all.

I feel like Melo is the one player that actually did exactly what was expected of him, for better and worse.

I’d sign Melo again for an end of the bench guy. If I have to see him play minutes at the 5 again, I’m going to scratch my eyes out.

Ham seems to want to implement a fast type of game based on defense. Melo is everything but that so I guess that explains why he hasn't been even mentioned.
    Brown took his number too.

He might find a place in another contender and be serviceable. He could return to Denver

Lakers could use Melo's shooting punch off of the bench, unless they plan on leaning on the rookie, Swider (which isn't a bad idea btw, but just saying).

Yeah I think we should actually give Melo another call up. If we aren’t moving Russ for shooters and it looks like we definitely aren’t then we need some. I love what Melo brought to the team. He was one of the highlights for me along with Reaves and Stan and Monk. He shot extremely well.
