I can't see KD wanting to play with Westbrook again

I can’t see it happening because KD specifically wanted to play with Kyrie. But if we are talking pipe dreams - sign me up!

    Kyrie / Nunn / DJ
    TJ / Reaves
    Lebron / House
    AD / Ingles / Melo
    Bamba / DH / Jones

I can tell you how the meeting went. Marks : How about Kyrie for AD? Pelinka : How about Kyrie for Westbrook?

    have a nice day

I like how when he was asked about Ham integrating Westbrook more completely into the team, he went on a monologue about defense and toughness 1 - 15.

i’d say he has been called out

Talk about your conflicting reports. I thought the first choice was Juwan? So, after they struck out on their first choice, it was unanimous who their second was?
    Got it.
    LOL!

he didn't say among whom. my guess would be rob is telling the truth: everyone involved wanted ham over stotts and atkinson.

I mean a lot of it is PR stuff. We got heat last time because Vogel wasn't the first choice so we are trying to avoid that this time

I'm interested in what Rob might have up for the draft. Might be a trade coming..we bought a 2nd rd pick, and while he's gone on record about not giving up a 1st rd pick in a Russ trade. He didn't exactly say that he was opposed to giving one up in another trade. I wonder what Talen and a lottery protected 1st might bring.

I think that’s the move. Since we probably aren’t trading Russ this summer there are very few ways to improve this roster and make it workable. We have that Tax payers MLE to maybe hold onto Monk or get a 3 and D wing. Then we have THT and Nunn as our tradeable assets.

This team isn’t fixable if Russ is here IMO. There just isn’t the money to fix the team with his contract. If the rumored trade of say like Rozier, Oubre Jr, and Plumlee for Russ is doable, you do it in a heartbeat, even if we have to give up one pick I still do it. That’s three rotational players to plug in immediately for one washed up player on a huge contract. Hell those 3 could even be in the starting lineup next to LeBron and AD. Rob has to try to go this route, there’s no other way, 2nd rounders and minimum contracts will barely get us ahead of last year if we are healthy.

    Agreed.
LeGM and AD will still miss games and this team won’t be deep enough, once again, to complete.
This Russ trade is the worst I’ve ever witnessed because it not only destroyed our last chance to win another Chip with the core we had, it set us back at least 3-5 years from being even a top five team in the West.

Well, since Rob is easily swayed, maybe this time, when it comes to players who will work well with one another, he will actually listen to someone who knows what he’s talking about: Mr. Ham.

Looks at the player GP II is now vs AB now (since this was recent) and thinks what were you smoking Dray and Steph?

again, part of my optimism is that i think rob has learned not to let lebron dictate personnel decisions anymore.
