Agreed. Magic should go back to being the starting point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers.

i like lane's plan, pending the protections on those picks. seriously: top-10 protection until they turn into 2 2nds is the only way.

Good points JSM. I agree. I like Monk more than Hield but if that’s the package with Brogdan then we do need a longer wing with D.

Also, Foxy was never a great C-Bag.

The only C bag great that helped the Lakers win a title was KC Jones as an assistant coach.

Anyone else, it's debatable in terms of the word "great". Which has been watered down to every inch of its life the last 20 years.

That is unsettling. You should probably demand a trade while they're feeling generous.

Mitchell + Conley for Russ, THT, Nunn 2 1sts and how many additional 2nd rounders they want.

Now there's no way they agree to that and could field more for Mitchell. But if Mitchell did want out and pushed his way here (doubtful), there's worse ways to hit the reset button than by dumping Conley's deal, getting a massive expiring, some picks and THT.

have any former lakers had success in boston after leaving LA? the only one i can think of is don nelson and that ridiculous shot he made in '69 to win the title

in recent memory, you've had shaw, fox, and rondo have successful lakers tenures after leaving boston

This is what gets me: trading all those pieces for WB, when all you had to do is be patient and you could have had made a real push for a star player.

We blew our chance going all in on the rest of our assets in WB.

Something tells me they aren't planning to destroy the team with this move. More like shake things up. There's no way that FO is looking at Westbrook in exchange for those guys.

lavar's right that any chance we had to bid on a mitchell were gone with the westbrook trade. that said, i don't think we'd have had the assets anyway.

i still think we should be keeping an eye on utah because russ's big expiring could facilitate a gobert or conley move.

Yeah, Utah would likely have interest in Herro and/or Robinson.

Unless we maybe we offer Lebron in a three teamer. Mitchell could be an acceptable return.
