Westbrook will most likely be on this team all season. Especially if Lebron and AD are healthy . I believe in those two more than you do I guess. They are the only reason we won a chip. It wasn't Vogel or the supporting cast. That was just the dressing, it was more due to those two healthy and playing at a high level as a tandem. If they had played 60 games together this season we'd be playing right now and kicking somebody's a**, with Vogel, Westbrook, old guys and all.

Yeah and you wouldn’t take the bet so it’s just you repeating and circling back around with it. If that chump is on this team start of the season I won’t post for a month other than smilies and likes. If he’s not then you won’t. Put up! Not that people here give a crap whether we do or not.

Have you heard that shining red light on your balls is supposed to increase testosterone levels?

i’m thinking of ordering a couple of these red light kits for our stars on the Lakers.

how on god's green earth did you manage to twist that into a condemnation of frank and not russ? it's quite clear here that AD is saying russ couldn't handle making any change to his game. further, AD implies that both he and lebron have been able to do this. it's in the article YOU linked.

are you suggesting he's trolling? i actually don't think he is. i think he actually interpreted those statements from AD as some sort of proof that coaching was the problem.

    No, he isn't.

    I'm not suggesting it.

I just know when certain posters enter a thread it will likely get derailed.

Anyway, have a good weekend. :).

Doing some research on Jensen was interesting.

    He's an interesting name.

I think it's a good strategy to grab some of these assistants with good teams and interview them and see what you can learn.

I'm glad they are looking outside their bubble a bit.

    In the Westbrook thread.

    Not in every freaking thread.

You go back and forth with him in every freaking thread.

    You're apart of the problem.

Stop with the better than you attitude around here that you frequently allude to, like you haven’t been guilty of the same stuff. If it comes up in a thread like others here have replied as well, mind your own business. Respectfully.

    I like Stotts, actually.

I just don't know how well he would do in the locker room.

    Brooks is kind of meh.

Was listening to the LFR podcast and Mike Trudell had some interesting comments.

Paraphrasing, he was talking about how he’d like the Lakers to look at a young and upcoming assistant that is respected by their coaching peers. Said he had some specific names in mind, but did not mention any of them.

But he went on to comment about how sometimes there are politics involved in which assistant coaches get consideration. How sometimes it’s just because they’re the assistant of a top team like Milwaukee and therefore they get more attention. Or other times it’s a matter of a coach’s agent pushing them. He said sometimes going with those guys is the right decision, sometimes it’s not.

I think he was just making a general point on how he knows some well regarded assistant coaches whose names aren’t popping up, and advocating for the Lakers to cast a wide net in their search. But while I don’t think it was his intention, I couldn’t help but take his comments as casting a bit of scrutiny on Darvin Ham.

Is he really one of the best assistants out there? Or do people around the league just consider it his “turn” to get consideration for a HC job since he’s been on a great Milwaukee team for several years? And/or does he have a good agent propping him up?

I have no clue what the answer is. As Pete pointed out on the podcast, us fans really don’t know anything about what goes into coaching on the day to day and so our judgements are really just based on perception.

At the end of the day I’d probably be happy with hiring Ham, but I do agree with the notion that we should be evaluating many more assistants beyond just the few names that have been brought up so far.

That's not what he said at all. He said it took time to make that adjustment. He did it, Lebron had to, etc.. And as far as Westbrook..they didn't actually play together enough to judge anything, so Russ was being unfairly blamed by the fans and media. He specifically stated that the adjustment involved "playing together on the court " What exactly are you reading?

Condemnation of Frank? He got fired... I'm not sure what that article had to do with Frank Vogel.

yeah, me neither. wonder who dragged him into the conversation? because that would be insane, right?

    anyway...

training wheels in case the new coach is a former player who might not be an xs and os master.
