Based on the voices in her circle, I'll take it. I'll take the opinion of an out of touch smart man over a... let's see, how to say this and be polite...ah, a f***ing idiot in Rambis. Unless his suggestion is to hire Rambis and then I'm done.

I think this means we're going to hear more about Nurse (who we can't get). He's been up to Phil's cabin. They're friendly.

But Raptors aren't letting him go...

What the heck Jeanie. No. Just No.

I'd love for the Lakers to get MDA. He has my full support, he didn't get a fair shake in his first go around here. I think he can unlock AD. More AD = better title chances for the Lakers

    Oh FFS.

I think Kurt having an opinion on anything but the color of his underwear is outrageous. Linda having an opinion on the next Lakers coach is a f***ing disgrace and grounds for rioting and ending the Buss regime.

It can't possibly go lower can it? This should be a Comedy series on HBO with canned laughter tracks and everything.

Linda was aware of Ty Lue's health condition, and has multiple family members that suffer from the same thing.

Lue had the all time best version of Lebron to work with, and his stress was off the charts in Cleveland. So much so that it was clear to Kurt that if he were to transfer that level of stress coaching a declining Lebron along with the bright lights of LA, we could very well have a coaching fatality on our hands.

Lue can handle the Clippers, but not the Lakers. Plus, the whole front office doubted that Lebron had 4 strong years left, and it was a fair choice to hold off a bit to consider other options and negotiate. 4 years at a fairly premium rate for a non marketable coach really isn't that great of a thing. Lue is mostly famous for getting stepped over by Allen Iverson.

He has been solid in Clipperland, but not exceptional. He's not a difference maker here. The Rambii were right to give their opinions, and I think it was a good call myself.

    I agree.

    Rambis is a low-key genius.

He just gets so much flack when he was the man in all those Showtime Team's, and it was really him who they use to call "Cap" in that era; a lot of people don't know that tidbit.

He's also a master X's and O's, technician, wonderful husband, and loyal to Jeanie. I am glad he is in that room, and I hope he influences our next coaching hire.

    ditto

I didn't know the part about Cap. I think you might be joking there, but Clark Kent is hardly our problem as a franchise. I'm glad we have a guy willing to show up to the meetings, the practices, have the uncomfortable conversations, do whatever it takes, etc. And not demand all of the attention for the good he's done. People want to point out a couple of flaws on the Lakers and lay them at his feet, but you have no idea what he is actually responsible for on the good side.

For instance, Kurt was instrumental is landing the Crypto.com Arena deal. The Lakers actually get an undisclosed amount of money from that deal, and that wouldn't have happened without Kurt.

To be fair, he wanted Kerr (Kerr picked GS and he settled on Fish), he was in favor of us hiring Lue, and was on Team Frank. I trust his coaching opinion over anyone else involved with the team (it's a low bar).

He also has a relationship with Nurse.

He also negotiated the Time Warner deal now Spectrum.

He has high business acumen. He was Jerry's right hand man.

Yep, also has a solid reputation in the locker room.

Probably not stuck in his ways and willing to collaborate with the FONwith respect to choosing assistants and roster construction.

I'm not fully on board yet. We're still early in the process, but I'm warming up to him.

The way the Lakers have operated in the past, though: Ham will be hired elsewhere and they'll be too late if that's the guy they wanted.

    We shall see.

    Some truly awful names here.

Clifford 3rd mostly likely. Depressingly enough, I think there's a very plausible path to him. If Snyder, Nurse, and Doc stay, Charlotte nabs Ham, and the Kings take whatever bad idea we had off the table. He's a yes man and a poor man's Frank.

Mark Jackson, Doc, Brown, Fiz, SVG, player-coach Bron. YUCK!

Surprised that Rondo and MDA didn't make the cut.
