I just feel like we should do a more thorough search than just hiring the guy who gets fired and used to coach here and is decent in Snyder. Like we need to be looking at assistants, college coaches, former players, trying to find a guy that can stick here for a while.

Nobody is excited about coaching this team. Who wants to coach a difficult set in his ways Lebron James? He thinks the team is still best with the ball in his hands, but the offense becomes stagnant since he just pounds the rock and let's the clock wind down.

Besides the gig being in LA, I don't think we are a very attractive coaching situation. We'll have to provide some major clarification up front on if the 3 stars will run it back, and what the roster composition will be. Will we be letting them hire their own staff? Will Kurt Rambis be on staff?

This is why I’ve pivoted from Rondo to one of the Van Gundy’s. As long as LeGM is here, it’s not going to matter who the coach is- he’s going to do what he wants. He’s not going to play any D and he’s going to run whatever he wants on offense. We will probably end up in seventh or eighth and get crushed in the first round. He’ll blame the coach and the FO for not getting him enough help on the way out the door. Why put a coach, who we really want long term, through this mess? Just hire Stan or Jeff to babysit this fool. Offer them a three year, with the third year a team option.

Has to be casual fans who enjoy his shtick on ABC/ESPN. I bet if they polled the same people on who they want for his assistant, they'd say JVG.

This is spot on. Unfortunately...lol I still want Sam Cassell. A couple of reasons, I think he will be a good coach and I don't think he will be a Lebron a$$ kisser. I would love to see a coach look at Lebron and lift his arms up saying pass the ball dumb a$$.

I’m sure this doesn’t mean anything, but it still doesn’t make me feel good to see this coming from someone connected to Klutch…

Please no. I'd rather go with a complete unknown then failed retreads.

I hope he knows as little about this as you would expect JR Smith to know about most things.

boggles the mind to think mark jackson would be considered for any leadership position based on publicly available facts, tbh.

Have they asked Bron and AD who they want as their next coach? I'm sure they would love to contribute their $.02. Or more.

I'm baffled with how bad the Jazz are. 77pts? Mitchell, Conley and Bojan combined for 15pts?
It's clear that the chemistry is not there but that's just plain horrible.
    Great job by Kidd btw

Gobert is a big question mark. If you can't build around him and he's constantly a liability in the playoffs, what's his future? His place in the NBA is to play 20min per game, situationally at times, like Drummond and Howard? That gives you a min contract..

5-30 from the floor. They're done.

Unfortunately he doesn't have to worry about that for awhile. He's not a FA until 2026 and will be making $46m at that point. That will be the worst contract in the league at that point. He'll be 34 by that point. Disgusting. After he's done with that ski mask job I think he'll get full mid level somewhere, but it's house money at that point in his career.
