No one player that signed for the minimum last year would be the difference in us being in the playoffs vs. sitting at home. But I don't think it's true that he wouldn't have solved anything. Vogel held on to the Ariza dream until what? ...Feb? We were that desperate for size on the wing. The fact that Stan and Gabriel popped the way they did on this roster really brings that point home. I like them. Glad we have them going forward, but there's a reason they are/were barely hanging on in the league before Rob went diving in the mall pond to find a handful of pennies to give them.

TJ Warren for the mmle would be an absolute steal if he is healthy. We can also resign him if we let Westbrook expire.

Not sure what Covington does for us, he is a poor shooter and a decent 1 on 1 defender. He excels as a disruptive help defender, a role we already have Lebron playing.

Iggy, Batum and Tucker 5 years ago would be great, not so much now.

Otto Porter Jr is interesting but more so as a PF. He can defend some and hit the three.

Bowen and GP2 are both probably going to go for more and they’re both the Caruso mould. Both could be useful but I doubt we get them.

Out of everyone TJ has the most upside, he can be a 20 point scorer on good efficiency and a positive defender with his size. If you get him for the mmle because of his health, you do that and run. The upside is huge, the downside isn’t so bad.

Sorry, but who is buying Lebron's jersey? People who don't care about effort, leadership, good movies, or defense?

I guess it's safe to say that jersey sales have only partial to do with actual play. The top 20 never completely makes sense. Just like All Star voting from fans.

    Fans are fans. Not rational.

I can understand young people gravitating to someone(Kyrie) who stands up to an oppressive government that uses fear to control the masses and take away civil liberties and freedom.
Harden on the other hand, …

Maybe people are interested in the guy who is about to claim the all-time scoring title. Considering it's by a guy whose game isn't predicted or known as a score-only player it's all the more intriguing. Much like the man who holds it now who was a supreme rebounder and shot blocker. He was also a Laker making LBJ's Laker jersey even more wanted. To own one of each would be awesome in any mancave.

This is a friendly heads up. We are committed to keeping the site politics free. I know you were asked by a Mod to steer clear of injecting politics into the discussions just recently, but perhaps you didn't see it. Next time, I'll have to issue you a formal warning. But I hope there is no need. There are innumerable sites online that are hungry for more political discussion, this just isn't one of them. Thanks for your cooperation.

I get wearing a Kyrie jersey. He's a little off kilter, but the man is one of the most skilled players to ever lace them up. Harden, on the other hand...

I haven't seen one person wearing a Harden jersey in public in my life. What the hell is this?

He can opt out in summer 2025. Lakers would be wise to collect assets and develop young role players in the meantime.

As far as Harden goes it’s because it’s what they grew up watching, it’s all they know, they don’t know how sick and wrong Harden’s game and his grifting the game are. Same with how pickup games are full of kids taking Steph Curry threes now, they don’t know that’s a one guy special case and not how basketball is really played.
