    Expectations of Okafor seem pretty high. He's going to need time to develop like any other prospect.

    I don't think any of the top three are busts.

    I think the guy people should be most concerned about facing is honestly Towns. I think he is going to be really really good.

    I like DIng a lot, just saying he was used in this case to try to cloud Philly's mind. Nothing wrong with that.

    I don't even want him as an asset on the off chance we can't unload him. His contract is at 4.6 million dollars and that would keep us from adding a max FA (no more Aldridge). I doubt the Knicks want him and even if they did, I'd rather they go through Philly to get to him.

    If we traded with Philly, I'd hope it was for our pick back. #2 for #3/likely #12-16 seems pretty fair to me.

    So with all the latest rumblings... Here's my new DREAM scenario..

    Lakers trade #2 & Randle for DMC + #6
    Use #6 to draft Winslow
    LMA comes to Lakers.

    Clarkson/Kobe/Winslow/Aldridge/Boogie

    Not a bad roster improvement IMO... Is this Pipe or Possibility?

    Just when I started to talk myself into really liking Russell...now I have to pull back.

    BTW, how does WOJ do what he does? It seems like no one uses him as a pawn like Ding just was. Is he just like a human lie detector or something?

    Complete pipe and fiscally impossible. Boogie eats significantly into our cap space which leaves us with too little money to sign Aldridge.

    You MIGHT be able to snag Wade. So instead of Winslow, pray Orlando drafts someone other than WCS and we take WCS at #6, slide Kobe to sf.

    Clarkson/Kobe/Wade/WCS/Cousins

    Formidable, but too injury prone on the wings to realistically think we could make it to the playoffs as anything other than 1st round fodder.

    My opinion: if Logo and Mitch think Russ can be a star in this league, who am I to question them? But Mitch better have an elite big coming to the Lakers ASAP.

    Randle's defense is pretty average. Him and Okafor won't strike fear in anyone on the defensive end of the floor.

    Not entirely true. If we can unload Young, Kelly, & Sacre(preferably in the Cousins deal so we don't have to pay to dump them) we can afford to max out LMA.
