    westbrook.

seriously, though, i don't see it happening. almost reeks of more klutch trying to do stuff that can't be done without consulting the lakers.

Not trading s*** for a coach. Lakers will likely end up with Quin Snyder. They need to get rid of Westbrook first and foremost after the season. He isn't going to listen to anyone so, he needs to go 1st.

I would guess the 27 pick or THT. Tough to say but with Chams running the story and the odds having him pretty high I’m intrigued now.

If we trade THT and a first round pick just to get a new coach, we'll have a nuclear winter that could last a decade. As if this rotten FO hasn't dug us into a deep enough hole already . . .

I think the pick and THT are as good as gone just not sure where they end up.

If they need to be moved, it should be for players not a coach. Our assets are bare as it is.

I tend to agree but I get the sense everything is on the table from some of The comments made today.

plus asset management hasn’t been a strong suit of the current regime.

We should target Josh Jackson. Another young, athletic reclamation project that will be available for cheap.

we shouldn't cheap out on the next coach.

our best shot at getting anywhere in the next few years is young player development, and that will be mostly down to the coach.

this sh*t again? my god, i thought we were finally done doing this every couple years

snyder and nurse are the only two guys who would be an upgrade over vogel

atkinson is a good coach when it comes to young and developing players, not established stars like AD and bron

juwan howard? only reason he'd get the job is because pelinka is his college buddy

dudley? might as well just name lebron HC

then there's the typical retreads like SVG, stotts, MDA, gentry, etc who you don't need to bother with

    phil? haha, kidding

just give dunleavy his courtesy interview and go after snyder

Lakers need to get a coach that can tell LeBron to shut up when he has to. Otherwise, you might as well have kept Vogel.

Lakers also need to get young from 3 to 12. No more old f***s. All these a******* on these other teams are all young and can hit shots. Get those guys. No more veteran leadership b*******.

Reaves is a keeper, go get more of those kind of guys who are hungry. Hopefully the 3rd, 4th and 5th starters are seasoned at least. But after that, young and can LISTEN!!!! to instructions.

Common sense s***. Make it happen Rob!

    Lue could have.

Kidd also.. realistically speaking, I don't think the next coach will have the stones. Maybe Rondo.. It'll take a former player or someone with a proven track record. Every other coach just kisses up to him.

or (perhaps justifiably) doesn't feel like they have the support to stand up to him.

i'm half in favor of hiring some rando former player just so we can fire them whenever lebron hangs it up and hire a real coach.

Also helps if the coach is given job security and gets to pick his staff, instead of no extension and Bron and the front office pick your assistants. They feel empowered to stand up to the King.

If I were coach, first meeting with LeBron would be like this:

You want to top Jordan for the all time title? Never gonna happen. But you can certainly make it harder for Jordan supporters if you win two more titles.

First step is you allowing me to coach and when you screw up, yelling at you in front of everyone without whining like a b****.

If you don't do this, be happy with your 4 titles as the main guy. You will stay at number 3 all time behind MJ and Kobe.

Now, get the hell out of my office and get ready for next season.
