I get you OX, but if real fault is never acknowledged, then nothing really changes and there will only be a different version of more of the same.

This is it, in addition to Rob’s questionable roster moves after the trade.

I like Oubre and Rozier, can't help but think MJ will want to dump that Hayward deal on us. Have to feign interest in Houston/Wall and get MJ to come down off of the Hayward inclusion which I just can't imagine him not trying to slip in there.

I hate the stretch Westbrook idea even if it means getting Monk. 15 mil for 3 years is brutal and if I were AD I would look elsewhere to a team not strapped down by that. Figure 15 for the stretch and 15 to Monk in pay = 30 mil, superstar pay. Monk was not consistent enough for that nor did he play at the other end of the ball enough.

we're not winning anything with Oubre and Rozier, they're both terribly inconsistent.

may as well just let Russ expire, rather than do a deal out of desperation that will compromise future seasons

Rozier contract is bad. 4 more years at 21-26 is a lot. Oubre is an expiring and doesn't make it work. Only Rozier and Hayward make it. Gordon has 2 years at 30. It's not bad at all. You give him one year and if he fails, he's a big expiring next year. He's far from unplayable and we won't miss him that much if he's out occasionally.
Rozier is inconsistent, but again, we're trading for Westbrook, the most unplayable guy in the league in our team. We can't be cherry picking. Plus, he's a great fit alongside LeBron.

Would do that deal in a heartbeat. Just don't understand why would you pair LaMelo in his best trajectory with Westbrook. Unless you're tanking and you won't re-sign, so you blow it up coming from 2 improving seasons. It's weird

    Either way:

Brogdon | Cory Joseph | Ingles
    Rozier | Reaves
    LeBron | Gordon | Stanley
    AD | Covington
    Whiteside | Howard/McGee

That's a top2 West roster. And you don't suck if unhealthy. It would be a Pelinka mastermind to pull this off

But if we get Wall for Westbrook without picks we are already lucky

If Bron could eventually deliver Luka to us, he deserves a statue. Not holding my breath though.

If the goal is to just lock up Wenyen for next year, I’m sure a veteran’s minimum deal should do the trick.

But interesting to know we have this option

Problem is, they will need to feign interest in all possible deals, so nobody knows what they are willing to do. If they turn down every deal right away, they end out backed into a corner. Right now, I think the Lakers just want to be able to say to every team that there are teams willing to work with us, so give us a good offer. Fans have to realize this is a game, we don't want to screw this thing up for them by ripping it to shreds. That can be used against the FO.

I would be ok drafting Bronny if it meant having Luka

I think Luka doesn't give a bleep regarding LeBron nor Hollywood interests him. Kobe would be more a guy to lure him. I think Luka is all about basketball and winning. Playing in the Lakers will always have meaning to him. But I would be shocked if Cuban blew this one

Not that bad really, when you consider the alternative of paying Westbrook 15.6 million for the next 3 seasons. Much rather pay Rozier the 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 he is owed the next 4 seasons. Rozier is actually under rated. Still only 28, is a dead eye shooter and a decent defender. Good off ball PG to pair with LBJ. He also doesn't seem to miss a lot of games. Might be able to get Hayward, Rozier for Westbrook and only one first?

Also worth nothing that the final year on Rozier’s contract is a team option.

I can see why Charlotte would want to get off his salary when they already have Lamelo, but Rozier’s contract really isn’t all that bad for a productive 28 year old PG.

I might be a little iffy on trading Westbrook for just Hayward and Oubre if we also had to give up a pick.

But any possible package from Charlotte that included Rozier (I think that options would be Hayward and Rozier, OR Rozier, Oubre, and Plumlee), I’d be pretty ecstatic about.

This is why you DO NOT trade anything for Wall...

He's going to be a FA. If Klutch wants him here then he can take the min (he'll get plenty from HOU in the buyout) and split time with Nunn.

Yeah Lebron was Luka's guy growing up. Hopefully he can use that to lure him.

We'll see if he signs to Klutch one day :LLLLLebronlaughing:

Been softly beating this drum… If Dallas continues sucking, I hope we have some sort of plan for when he wants out. It'll be hard tp pry him from Cuban but you’ll never know

Gordon's deal is not bad at all? 61.5 mil for 2 years, the dude has played in 55% of all games in the past 5 years including 59% this season and 61% the season before. Including being down right now due to injury. And he's 32 years old (not 30), am I missing something here? He would need to be like Greek Freak level to make that worth it. Bogus deal. MJ wants to dump these on us and rebuild for a reason. Why else would anyone want Westbrook? MJ saying he admires him, please.
