AD has played 37 games this season, Russ has played 72, AD isn’t holding Russ back. If anything his stats should be crazy big because most of the time he’s been the second option with the green light on a team full of minimums. LeBron has only played 54 games as well, so there’s been tons of opportunity. Russ just isn’t very good anymore, he can’t shoot, he can’t defend, he’s had a bad year finishing at the hoop. It’s nice that he’s had a good March, hopefully he keeps it up and builds some trade value for the soon to come off-season.

Illustrates that blaming one particular player is stupid doesn't it?

it illustrates that a single player can't possibly be pinned for any given loss. but it doesn't make any of your points.

if we had just a league-average player instead of westbrook, we'd be much better off. particularly if that player had a league average salary instead of 4X that.

like, take almost any starting pg from any other team this year, and we improve.

What the hell does that even mean? Lebron and AD are the team. It's not inconsequential that they weren't playing. If you expected Westbrook to be a Kyrie or Steph Curry type of dude. Then your expectations were way off from jump street. I expected him to facilitate, get people open looks. That was his value to me. I already knew he wasn't a shooter, take away the weapons including Nunn. Who I will reiterate that I expected big things offensively from this season. This squad wasn't as good as the Wizards were last season. I see the dude in a different light than some I guess. If you were expecting 30 pts 12 assists and 10 rebs from him with that roster ...that's your fault.

The "point" never gets proven then, it circles back to..you can't blame any particular player, Russ included.

Bah..we had a league average starting PG in Dennis. We finished in the play in game and out in the 1st round. In spite of having the top ranked defense in the NBA. So meh on that take too.
Again you have issues with his contract..I don't. He was traded for players that matched his contract and we weren't any better with them last season. That's a wash to me. I'll say it again...if Lebron , AD and Nunn were available all season, we wouldn't be having this discussion at all IMO.

If Westbrook played better we wouldn’t be having this discussion

Maybe “Slick” is one of Russ’ burner accounts? This would make the most sense.
It’s a waste of time trying to have a reasonable debate with someone who doesn’t live in reality.

    @Slick2021 is a good poster.

I agree with some of his takes outside of WB.

He seems like a real fan to me.

Sometimes, things just don't work out.

    Shrugs.

On topic , Rob you must be better.

    Please. Lol.

Sounds like Julius is one one of those guys that might care alot. Where his teammates don't? What else could it be?

i was mad when the knicks shut us down on potential russ trades because something centered on randle and contracts they want to move could really work. randle at center next to AD and lebron might resemble the switching d that we were...sort of thinking of attempting this year.

maybe that, but also i think randle still thinks he's a star when he's really not.

whatever, i'd take him and whatever they want to dump for russ. is fournier enough to match? would have to check.

I’d love to have Julius back. He’s my favorite ex Laker besides Caruso.
