Somebody needs a new hobby around here. Trolling with zero evidence again is his thing.

Anyone who keeps defending Westbrook on defense should just admit you are his payroll or you are purposely acting he is good on defense or blind. Like, literally, blind. Like, you can't see.

Now there is a 4th, but this is a family forum and I think almost everyone is bright enough to know what the 4th one is without saying it out loud.

That's exactly the type of selective memory I'm talking about. What actually happened is that Harris hit a three, Monk matched it. Dwight made a silly reach on Embid. Russ scored on a drive. And scored or assisted on every possession to end the game. Meanwhile Embiid got away with trucking him to go to the line again. Yet the story was how horrible Westbrook's defense was. Narratives have a life of their own, even when folks watch these games.

I see what happens on the court period. Russell Westbrook's defense isn't as bad as Monk's or Melo's and occasionally Lebron's. Yet the narrative is that his defense is somehow the problem. That is BS whether you like, hate or are indifferent about the dude as a player. I never said he was "good" most definitely not as "horrible " as it's made out to be.

Point these games out where it was mostly on Westbrook. Let's pull up the actual games. I'm curious to see which ones you think he was more at fault than anyone else. Run it..

Lol..blame it all on Westbrook. Cool..I'd still rather have him than Wall, Schroeder or Bradley as the point guard. All day every day.

S*** like this all year long and you’re defending this fool like the rest of us and people who watch the sport are blind …. only your take is the right take. The second clip especially but log the first with the hundreds of brain farts!

Meh..whoope damn do. You post a couple of clips. I'm sure you could find a ton of clips of Monk, Melo,DJ,Baze,Trevor, Avery, and Lebron doing stupid s*** too. My point remains the same. You can't blame all this BS on Russell Westbrook period. In that same particular game btw. That's a predisposed narrative dude. I don't have to agree with something just because it's the preferred thing to say around here. Doesn't make me any more right than you. We have a difference of opinion.

They either played here or in Wall's case is supposed to be a better fit.

Standing and watching and ignoring his man like that, no you can’t. They all make mistakes but the complete obliviousness to where the guy he’s supposed to be covering off the ball have never seen in my life from any player like this guy. All season long. We CAN’T bring that back by choice after next season.

he's supposed to be a leader. comparing his defense to guys who make the vet min and do so because of their defensive issues isn't the win you think it is. he makes 45 million and is basically a net negative on the floor. he's definitely been a huge part of the problem. HUGE. like, second after AD's injuries.

You haven't pointed out a single game we lost due to his defense yet. Metrics don't mean a lot to me without the context of who is on the floor at the time as well. It's a team game, I don't care how much a player makes, it's more about the role they play. Russ was brought here to be the 3rd option, not the leader of this team. I think he's been adequate in that role. My issues with him revolves around his offensive game. Missed layups and careless turnovers. I feel like the pace he sets, his facilitating and rebounding offset whatever defensive issues folk harp about. Dennis was considered a top defensive PG last season, Bradley is supposed to be a defensive minded PG. He TRIES...yet both didn't come close to giving us what Russ brings to the table overall. This dude routinely hits guys in the pocket in scoring position in every game. He's been doing it all season, that's his job. If guys were knocking down more of those looks, he would be at 12-13 dimes a game. I think the Russ stuff is overblown. That's just how I see it..he's not perfect but injuries to Lebron, Nunn (I truly expected Nunn to thrive on this team)and others, coupled with Vogel's lackluster coaching are right up the with the " Russ problem " IMO. I guess his contract dictates that he should be blamed more by some folks. Cool..I disagree.

As the 3rd option on the team? What did you expect? Him to be more important than Lebron or AD? With that garbage roster we had without Nunn too? Do tell

weird that you ignore the lead of the article: that westbrook has been so bad that it's sad/embarrassing for 70% of the season?
