I think a lot of these kids are, right? I saw Towns did a recent interview with COD as well.

Lakers aren't worried about Clarkson or Randle's ability to mesh with Okafor or Russell. And by the way, Randle is wow-ing folks right now

I'm paranoid. This post almost worries me. Shelburne is too close to the Lakers organization so I could see her being used to report stories that are solely for leverage. One way to interpret this tweet is, "Sacramento, we're confident that a trio of Clarkson,Randle,#2 will be good so we don't need Cousins ... but if you sweeten the pot and throw in #6, rest assured that trio will also be good for you."

That's a dumb trade. The Lakers aren't trading Randle let alone all three. That's what the Kings asked for weeks ago. If the Lakers were willing to give that up they'd have done it already.

I see Randle as our franchise player, even if Okafor comes here. Well, dual franchise players lol. But Randle is the alpha.

wish shelbourne would elaborate. what specifically is randle doing? did he add something unanticipated to this game? or does he just look like the guy from the end of the preseason last year (which was wow-worthy enough)?

If we trade Randle after all of 10 (or whatever it was) minutes we saw him in a Lakers uni i will be bummed.

Well not unanticipated, but I'm guessing his shot is falling which is making him pretty much unguardable in practice situations. Randle can take just about anyone off the dribble to the rim and if he's hitting his jumper, you can pencil him in for a good 10-15 points every night at least.

And yeah I think he's been gone a while and you tend to forget his unique size and speed. I bet seeing him out on the floor the Lakers are like "oh yeah! THAT's why we loved this guy".

Exactly. If he can pick up the defensive nuances of the NBA, he could be Draymond Green on steroids. This guy has the potential to be the best guy in his draft class. Embiid may never see the court for more than 40 games a year. Parker is as athletic as a banana slug. Wiggins is still a bit passive offensively...Randle could be the guy in this draft that everyone 1-6 bangs their heads against the wall about. Orlando drafted Aaron Gordon over this guy. I mean...yeah.

I don't know where all the Draymond Green comes from... I see way more Larry Johnson, James Worthy, and Charles Barkley in him than Draymond Green. Green is a versatile defender and a three point shooter, that's it. Randle is actually bad in those areas right now so I'm not sure it's a good comparison even if he's on steroids :D

I definitely agree on the second part though. The C Bags picking Smart over him and Orlando picking Aaron freaking Gordon... Oh man. Just awful picks compared to Julius. I actually like Parker I think he'll be the next coming of Paul Pierce. I underestimated Wiggins, but I definitely get that pick. I even understand Embiid, but Gordon and Smart over Julius??? You're out of your mind.

I think his size makes one think of Draymond. And his athleticism for being that size. But yeah, Randle is kind of a freak though in a way that Draymond can only wish to be. Draymond is more like a hard worker/constant motor guy who doesn't have tons of skill but just out works everyone. Randle is something very different. To me he's more like Odom in a mini-Shaq type body. He's just such a unique player. I love Randle. Can't wait for him to show us what he can do this year.
