Healthy Bron and Davis could not beat a G League team last night.

 

LOL. What …. every other post now every page every thread this team / coach / front office / players suck? Perfect. Yeah I know I could mute except I don’t and it’s my problem. Everyone else I’m sure enjoys it so I’ll suck it up and deal with it.

You’ve brought up McCollum and change before. I just don’t think that’s a good deal at all for Ven Simmons. CJ got moved for Josh Hart and some other young guys, so clearly no one really valued him that high. They’re just different caliber players.

The reason it’s ok is because Brooklyn got real value back, this wasn’t a Mickey Mouse trade where one organisation loses a top 10 player for nothing. They actually got a DPOY all star PG who can be really deadly next to KD and Kyrie - they maybe improved. But I’m not ok with players dictating things like Simmons tried to do.

I would hardly call it scape goating by Philly. There was a comment about a missed layup and the guy took it to heart and broke down. That’s weak by Simmons, I just can’t respect the way he has acted even a little bit, but he is a hell of a player.

but you can respect harden and morey's behavior over the years and in this instance? i'm just trying to figure out the morey cheerleading angle.

 

so weird that harden has blown up every friendship he's had when they've played together.

now that the dust is settled, I think there might be legs to the Morey tampering claim. Harden also passed on free agency for summer 2022 and opted in for 2022 2023

 

Everyone tampers, been doing it forever. A select few, get called out for it and punished.

 

Based on how the trades went down, I feel like it bounced very poorly for buyout options. Fact that we couldn't clear a spot is irritating. DJ and Baze don't deserve to earn a check until the end of the year. We nickle and dimed Stan as long as we could. Are we really going to pay to come off one of those vets AND pay another one? I doubt it. Our roster sucks and not finding a way to get any deal done shows me we're ready to call this a loss and try to fix it in the summer. Bummer.


Thoughts on the other deals...
-Mavs made out like bandits. Porzingis was a bad fit who was overpaid, never healthy and a playoff failure. They brought in someone who's been a 20 ppg scorer in Dinwiddie (he and Cuban can talk crypto too) and added another shooter for Luka. On top of that, they're the favorites for Dragic. That might be the best deadline of any team.
-Nets will be better IF all 3 play. If they don't, they're a lot worse and won't be able to keep up offensively with the rest of the league.
-6ers: nice duo, but Harden had worn thin everywhere except his waistline. It's nice to have Doc, Beard, and Morey together. One big easy-to-hate pile of failure.

16m/yr for Bertans who is a 3pt specialist but now forgot how to shoot, so no not total fleece n if its career ending works out even better for was, they can clear zingis contract off the books

I bet with Luka getting him the ball Bertans is going to start looking a lot better. He was playing for a dumpster fire of a Wizards team. I'm not going to over judge any negative play this season coming out of there.
