didn't see that one coming. wonder if we can snatch bagley or even richuan holmes now. i'd consider THT for either.

Wow Sacramento needed two Jeremy Lambs? That’s overkill

I feel like that's exactly what Rob had in mind. It would be really short-sighted on his part.

Kings doing Kings moves. Should have traded Fox instead of Hali. Even bigger logjam at the Center position, wondering if we can snag Holmes.

maybe TT gets bought out by Indy

hahahahahahaha what an awful trade for the kings

trading haliburton is a brain-dead move. and i can't envision sabonis changing anything there. but hey, glad we don't have to face hield's ugly a** as often

Maybe it’s that odd form he has on his shot, but whenever we’ve played the Kings, I’ve found Haliburton to be overrated. He’s good, but Sabonis is also only 25 years old and already a two-time all star. I don’t think this as terrible of a deal for Sacramento as the initial takes are making it out to be.

Hoping this somehow either makes Indiana more willing to give up Turner, or Sacramento more willing to give up Barnes.

haliburton is younger, cheaper, and under team control longer. sabonis is out of there in two years. fox-sabonis isn't a bad core, but unless they bring in more talent that's a 10th seed team at best. haliburton will probably end up being the better player of the two soon anyways

Some of these trades being mentioned by the press suck a** for us. I’ll be more disappointed in this season than I am now and I didn’t think that was possible.

Not expecting us to do anything really by the deadline. Its depressing but it is just a lost season for us it seems.

Woj just sent out a tweet correcting the trade, it's Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb, and Justin Holiday for Halliburton, Hield, and Tristan.

From a Pacers perspective, it's a really dumb trade. You just traded away your best player (best trade chip) while taking on a fairly large, multi-year contract in Hield. Jeremy Lamb for Tristan Thompson is basically a wash salary cap wise, as both expire at the end of the season for around $10 mil each. They get the prized piece in Halliburton, which stats wise he's pretty efficient but is he really the type to transform your organization?

So basically the Pacers gave away Sabonis and Caris Levert to bring back Halliburton, a pick, and a bad Buddy Hield contract that limits your rebuilding wishes.

if it's between doing nothing and trading THT for eric gordon or josh richardson, i'd much rather they do nothing

Pacers are going to build around Halliburton and dump everyone else is my guess. Maybe even Brodgon?

The Kings though wtf are they trying to do - Fox/Barnes/Sabonis gets you nowhere

Agreed, the worst thing we can do is another Zubac type deal.

Kings are stupid. Also, Hart for CJ?! And we can’t get anything decent for THT, Nunn who will be back at some point on a great contract and a first rounder? Please, Laker tax is real. Also, we draft well

LA Times guys discuss our options...

One source calls THT a "bad contract. "
