We only include the first round picks for players like Westbrook!

what if the 1st is nominal? like, if it's top-20, it turns into a 2nd the following year or something? okc gets to say "we got a 1st", but it's either a 20-something pick or worse.

Are we talking about this guy? I don't see a 1st round pick being included for him. What am I missing?

Find a way to dump Russ into OKC's camp space. He can get his respect there from all the good will he's built up. His jersey will go up in their rafters and he can have his farewell tour. It would cost the 27 pick though.

    Russ/DJ + 2027 1st rd pick

    for

    Dort/Favors/Williams

Then dump 1 of Bazemore/Ellington/Dwight for anything to get to roster limit.

    Monk/Nunn/Bradley
    Dort/Reaves/THT
    Johnson/Williams
    Lebron/Melo/Ariza
    AD/Favors

don't see how they include dort, and i also just don't think they'll bite on adding westbrook. he'll disrupt their rebuild by making everyone fit in around him. unless he's willing to come off the bench. but he can do that here, and i'd keep him and the first!

I think there’s only one way to dump him now. I’ve changed my mind about giving up the first. It’s worth it to guarantee we don’t have to suffer through this mess again next season. We can see how Wall does with the starting unit- if not, then let him run the bench.

I don't like a 1st round pick for a guy already similar to Johnson, Ariza and Reaves. I think our scouting department would do better with the pick. If it was for Avery and a pick for Dort maybe. He's only 22.

Wall is opting in to his 47 million next season without a doubt. We need another big that can rebound and score.

if we're into just swapping disappointing young players, THT for bagley or bamba gives us a young guy who can play the 5. neither guy seems likely to help us win, but maybe the change of scenery does everyone good.

We need to remove Westbrick first. There is no way Wall could do any worse than Russ. Even if he gets injured again, the majority of Lakerland will be much happier seeing him on the bench in street clothes than Russ on the floor wearing a Laker jersey. You must not have watched the last game where Russ was getting all the boos and fans yelling at him “Don’t Shoot!”

Bagley would be interesting. Anthony is an elite player, I think a younger guy could greatly benefit, from going up against AD in practice and watching how he approaches team and individual defense.

So what? The same crowd will be cheering him on, and screaming his name in the next game. That's fans. Westbrook isn't getting moved period.

i think bagley could learn to be a useful player. he's got some tools; was just billed incorrectly as a star player coming out. sac's just a terrible organization. i'd give anyone coming out of there a second chance, tbh.

Sounds like the exact same player as Russell Westbrook to a T...in the mirror dimension.

That’s exactly why I wanted Christian Wood a couple of years ago instead of Montrezl.

What we need in the backcourt with Monk is a 6’5-6’6 guard that can defend 1-3 and knockdown the occasional three. Wait a minute…did I just describe KCP?
