I just went this season to end. I'll continue to watch as a fan but this is torture. I'm just drained.
I hated the way we almost gave the game away down the stretch and NY forced OT. But I’m glad we got it back together for the win.
How about playing gusy like Reaves/Stan/THT ahead of the corpses of Ariza/Bradley/Russ? THe young guys actually play hard and still have the ability to do so
We can’t keep starting the same core lineup and get boat raced over and over. Monk/Reaves/Stanley/Lebron/AD the young guys can actually move and play with force.
This is pretty damning. I wasn’t ready to give up on the season now that we have all of our big three healthy. But Lebron is almost waving the white flag here admitting they can’t get to where the defending champs are. Russ is $$&&@ ing about the coaching staff for benching him again. Not a good look there. It’s dawning on Lebron that he recruited the wrong guy, that they are all in on him and can’t move him. Yikes. I had hoped that Westbrook’s competitiveness and drive could be harnessed here for his home team and that the coaching staff would be smart enough to figure out how to stagger his time with Lebron to give him less minutes this year. What a mess.
one lesson that should have been learned last year and damn well better be now: make sure you clarify roles with the guys you're acquiring in trade and FA. schroder, drummond, and russ all came in playing oversized, ill-fitting roles, and we got burned each time. everyone knew that these guys needed to be backseat players, but they didn't. tired of that. no more.
lebron has carried the team when healthy. and AD has looked like his usual self again lately. neither of them should be blamed for this russ sucking a** has been a major issue obviously but the biggest problem is that the roster is deeply flawed. zero defense and tons of dead weight in guys like ellington, DJ, ariza, and bazemore. vogel's awful lineups don't help so basically the team is bron AD russ johnson reaves monk dwight (when vogel's not mad at him) THT melo
And Nunn has been broken all year with no end in sight. That’s our backup PG for Russ who has sucked lately.
My wmc, I watched half the game last night and was actually glad I had to go out and miss the 2nd half. I can see what happened, never came right, some empty comeback to lose by 15 or so. Just a heartless performance, we never looked like winning and we had no belief a championship team against a team that knew it was going to lose. It was more than just Westbrook. How and the hell do you bench an entire team. My question with this much left in the tank would Kobe let it go this way? Lebron sure has.
Dame kills us every time we...oh wait. What a joke. We lost to a team who has dumped its entire roster. Playing tendons randoms off the street. Had 17 chances in the final 90 seconds. Even Russ is sitting on the bench shocked at how much we're turning it over.
