5m5 minutes ago Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA Cleveland remains the frontrunner to sign Love to a five-year, $100M-plus extension, but Love could be willing to hear out C Bags, Lakers.
Come on Boston, work some magic and get Love in a S&T. Keep him away from LA and I promise to root for your sorry organization eight times next season (CLE, HOU, LAC)
Apparently, according to the media, the Lakers are after everybody and will be rolling Clarkson, Wade, Kobe, Love, and Cousins to start the season.

Heck even behind Randle I'd like David West. He's older and has lost much of his mojo, but he's a good veteran and a no-nonsense guy. I sense he'll go to a contender though. Watch out for him in Miami or Dallas or San Antonio.
True statement. Or even Cleveland depending on how things go in contract negotiations with Love and Thompson.
Maybe Cleveland, but I always thought there was no love between West and LeBron. Not to mention Cleveland has their hands full with Varejao, Thompson, Mozgov, and now Love... I'd be surprised if they pulled that trigger.
Good point. I hadn't thought of the LeBron and West relationship. LeBron is essentially acting GM over there. Whatever he says goes. I'm hoping we are at least a dark horse for him, since his most productive seasons in the league were under B Scott in NO.
The other thing with West is he just left 12 million on the table... What is he looking for in FA? I don't know yet. It'll be interesting to find out. This summer has some awesome hype around it right now...
Lol. Love should wake up and smell the coffee... Cavs obviously don't need him...they're stacked at his position...and they won't be re-recruiting him? Ugh, hopefully they overpay and keep him...cuz then that means WE will probably overpay him, which I don't want happening.
I'm sure the Cavs will offer him the max. They're cash strapped at the moment, so using his rights to go over the cap and re-sign him is the only chance they have at keeping talent around LeBron. Plus, they gave up Wiggins for him...if he bolted because they lowballed him an offer, all hell would break loose.
Technically he could give them a huge middle finger and just leave anyway. He was pretty wildly mistreated there by teammates (LeBron!) AND the coaching staff (sitting in the 4th!). If I were him and I got a max offer from a decent team, I just sign it. Eff Cleveland and the way they treated me.
Actually.. Love would make an interesting piece to include in the rumored Sac/LAL/ORL talks. I'm sure Orlando would be excited about landing Love in a Sign & trade. If Cleveland thinks they might lose Love for nothing, they might let him go for marginal pieces.
Wow, great minds on this board seem to be very down on Love. Just curious as to why? Assuming we pick Okafor, wouldn't a stretch-4 who can board be the perfect compliment to Jah? My #1 choice would be Aldridge at the 4 next to Okafor, but assuming the rumblings of him wanting to go home to Texas are legit, Love seems like a heck of a consolation prize. With Randle as our Odom-type first big off the bench, that's some dang nice frontcourt depth. The obvious glaring weakness in acquiring Love & Okafor to go with Randle is a lack of D up front. I agree it's not great on paper, but I'm still of the opinion that Okafor has the tools to be a good defender, but is 19 and just needs to be coached up better. I dunno, we just need to add talent, and Love provides many more pro's than con's, IMO.
