This is where Nunn's absence looms large. He was supposed to be playing in Bradley's spot. A consistent 15 point a game scorer that doesn't rely on the 3 to get his points. I'm starting to look sideways at this training staff, was this guy misdiagnosed? The group last season bungled the AD situation, the man was complaining about soreness in his Achilles from just walking and running during training camp. The decision was to go light in camp and play through it. That probably got the last training staff fired. Now Nunn, AD and Lebron....SMH...is this just bad luck or a low budget/mediocre training staff?

Nunn was really supposed to be Westbrook’s backup.

Re: rumors - we have Monk, we don’t need another SG, especially one with a huge contract who is not known for their D. Just sign Monk and we’re set.

the real problem with this team is their inability to defend

i don't see any trade fixing that. the roster is just too flawed

Nunn was always going to play with Russ, in the same way we are playing Avery with him now. Nunn isn't a point guard, he is a small two, that is who he is. He is actually classified as a 1/2. I guess because he's small he gets labeled as a point guard. Lebron is the other PG on this team, we never needed 3. Rondo was the fallback. Honestly when Avery is on from the field, you can see why Nunn was signed. The offense looks so much smoother, the problem is that Avery has never been a consistent shooter. If you go back to the Championship season, even though Avery opted out of the bubble, once he got into a bit of a groove from the perimeter there right before the shutdown. The team was looking awesome.

Defend? You can't defend your way to overcoming scoring 87 points bro. Good teams are going to score against solid defense, especially in the post season, that's why they are considered good teams. Last season should have exposed that defense doesn't compensate for lack of scoring.

scoring hasn't been the main issue this year like it was last season

plus, i'm pretty certain they put up more than 87 if lebron plays

The Sixers are morons, the league is wide open this year and Morey is punting because he thinks he can get Harden this summer

probably posturing, but i'd love to see morey play an entire year without simmons, then trade him for what may be a rapidly declining harden. he's also wasting the healthiest season of embiid's career. history says this may be it.

    100%

I would take De'Aaron Fox for Simmons in a heartbeat if I was Morey.

I wonder if Simmons will change his tune about playing for Philly this season after the trade deadline. It's a crazy world these days IDK, maybe Morey thinks that he can sell Ben on suiting up and balling out, in order to increase his trade value. LOL or it could be a spectacular fail and he looks awful.

guessing that wasn't offered, but yes, you'd take that. i'm sure sac is trying to use hield in the deal for salary purposes. hield and halliburton should be enough, given how philly's tanked simmons's value.

i'm sure morey hopes for this, but i don't see how it works out. if simmons comes back, he has to get reintegrated, and the team has already proven that if there's any misstep, he'll be blamed for it. it's not good for him when he can just collect checks and wait them out.

it's too bad they couldn't just move him. both sides are "playing the long game" now, and i think morey's mad because only teams are supposed to be able to do that.

I thought Philly was still holding out his wages? Or did the struggling mental health diagnosis get around that?

Kings don’t really have many good pieces. Fox and Barnes are ok, but Simmons is a lot better. There’s a reason they can’t really get any trades moving, no one wants their junk.

    1. Trade Westbrook, Monk, Bazemore, and Jordan to the Knicks for Walker, Fournier, Burks, and Noel.

    2. Trade THT, Nunn, Ellington, and the 2027 1st to Sacramento for Barnes.

    New Roster:

    PF-James/Anthony/Johnson
    SF-Barnes/Burks/Ariza
    C-Davis/Howard/Noel
    PG-Walker/Bradley
    SG-Fournier/Reeves

Lakers also open up two roster spots for buyout market.

Probably not. But if there's one team/owner dumb enough . . . it's the Knicks.

    Stein's latest....

    On Grant
    Translation: won't be a Laker

Kings getting repeatedly blown out has many expecting a fire sale

Suns could be in the market for a shooter
Ellington and DJ for McGee works. After signing Biyombo, they can afford to lose McGee. They get a shooter. We get a better big and clear a roster spot.

Nets want to flip Millsap for a shooter
If they can talk themselves into Baze being a shooter, I'll do that swap.

Anfernee Simmons breaking out could spell the end of Dame and CJ backcourt

Well, KCP and Kuz would certainly solve some of the problems we have. :)
