vogel told him to leave the hot shooter at the top of the key, clearly. but i agree that melo at c just hasn't worked and this was stan's spot.
It must be said that Vogel doesn't have an easy job. In the first year we were playing big and now we are playing heavy small. Coaches have their way of seeing the game and the positions Vogel has been putting on are not allowing him to express his view of basketball. He's learning on the job with these lineups and that can't be good.
Melo was hot tonight. It’s really concerning to me that the team is still having to talk about lack of effort and hustle. You just lost to the freaking Pacers, how much more motivation do you need?
That's why most people talk. Because talking is easy. Doing is a different thing. Doing is the hard part.
He's playing way too many minutes. How many times have we been killed the past few games with him and Lebron as our bigs? Goddamn He should only play with Dwight(or AD) no?
The way we have used him recently its like he's expected to fill in the Kieff role. Offensively he can outproduce Kieff I'm not sure if he can help defensively and on the boards. Thats asking a lot out of him
I knew it was something bad when the ref was holding him back instead of even considering T'ing him up. Their fans are so s***ty that even Embiid had to get involved and get between the fan at the end of the court and Melo. Pathetic fan base for all their teams. Anyone that boos Santa...I expect nothing from.
He was cooking! 10 of those came in the 1st Q. My favorite shot was the drifting to his left 3 to beat the clock where he stumbled out of bounds after, but before the 3 to the dome transpired. The level of difficulty was really high on that one. THT and co. did him a disservice in the 4th, we really went away from him in the final period. Pretty sure he's going to get drug tested today. Note to Frank: please remember tonight is the second night of a back to back for Melo. We (you might not) know how those go. Let's lean a little more on Stan tonight.
