I think there’s zero chance the players union OK another bubble. Since this is the AB thread, I will add that Vogel doesn’t have Bradley anymore to lean on so he’s going to have to play someone else.

What sucks is that Vogel had already started doing that, we’d been getting quality minutes from Reaves and Ellington. And on top of that Bradley had been playing pretty good overall. I just hope this is short for all our players and they have no long term health problems.

Good news. With AD out for a month we are going to need all these guys back to start winning games again.

Malik will probably be rusty, but I doubt that keeps him from bombing away from deep. Avery is always a wildcard with the shooting, but he is still capable of harassing Harden full court, and making him work harder.

Guess AB, like Dwight, still had a covid hangover.

Hard guy not to root for.
Just like the Bubble year he seems to be getting better as the season goes.

His man to man defense isn't as good but he does work hard on both ends of the court

Really good start to the 3rd, with a quick 8 points. Things with this particular starting 5 (because of other non-shooters) could've gotten really ugly if he wasn't hitting, so it's good that he could give us 14 points.

I thought he had a great game, hit open threes, moved without the ball for some good passes for layups, good stuff.

He usually passes the eye test for me. Yeah, his shot comes and goes, but at least he cares about stopping people from scoring.

I’m very glad to see AB get some credit and appreciation. We’ve missed his D for sure these last games.

I know I'm not alone and will say it again .... AB gets way too much hate/disrespect on LB. Yeah it's troubling when he gets switched onto much bigger players. As it is for any of our vet non good defending other short guards. At least AB can still defend decently even if having lost a step. A step they never had in the first place. And yeah he can have 0 for nights shooting, but seriously those have not been the norm this season, and he IS shooting 40% from 3 as mentioned above. Plus is not a :Schrooder Clown: out there and makes other types of plays and occasionally scores in other ways. WTF .... Over? Get off the guy. He does defend better than some of the other short dudes.

I totally agree. I find it odd that this guy who tries and does succeed to a larger extent than almost all of our guards on D gets so maligned here. But I’m glad we have him at least for now to pickup that slack. The 2 guard position is our most log jammed so I’m not sure he’ll get guaranteed.

Better than LeBron and AD …. ummm NO! LeBron can defend bigger players and block shots. You’re just hating …. AGAIN. Not AD certainly. Will give you Westbrook.

Nah man, he defends better than Westbrook and LeBron. LeBron often takes possessions off on defense. Not hate at all, just what I’ve witnessed with my eyes.

Whatever. But don’t deny your hate for him which colors everything. When it matters in crunch time and for switching or chasing down a guy on a break away … he can’t carry LeBron’s jock as far as the other team not hunting LeBron for mismatches like they do Avery. LeBron is freaking 37 years old and carrying this team.

I can dislike the guy’s mercenary, “I have to have it my way,” controlling of a Franchise approach and not hate the man. I just dislike his approach to having to control everything. It’s blown up in his face and cost the Franchise TWO seasons of contending(unless a miracle trade happens at the deadline or this summer). You can label it “hate.” I will call it justified frustration over a guy with a massive ego not being able to keep it in check and allowing others to do their jobs.
It’s not like Rob was some bumbling idiot who didn’t just put together a Championship Team less than two years prior.

i get some of your complaints and agree with them, foj, but lebron BOUGHT us the only contention we have. literally all by himself. he's not here, and we're the knicks. we have to deal with the fact that he's the de-facto gm, etc. that was the deal. in your opinion, maybe it was a deal with the devil, but i'm not sure. i think the brand was saved from the oblivion.

anyway, avery bradley is alright in my book, and he can stay. baze goes, stan joins.
