What case do you use or want to get?

i came across this, handmade and damn expensive. I dont know if i'll actually get this but it looks NOOOICE.

I picked the black one because i like plain solid colors, but they have cool vintage looking passport and book designs.

That is expensive, but it looks great. My wife has a similar concept (not as nice) for her Galaxy.

I used to use an OtterBox for my iPhone, but I dropped it a bunch and destroyed the OtterBox. Now I use a simple, cheap Belkin - no problems. It doesn't even have a screen protector.

Otterbox for me. Does everything they claim. Money well spent.

Belkin for me as well. Got my first small cracks/scratches on the screen finally after 2 years. Belkins are nice, cheap, smooth to put in/pull out of your pocket, and look slick.

But then you look like a dork while on the phone, what with the open part flapping about. :):)

Yeah way too expensive after i thought about it.

Might get it for my mom, but I'm going to get a Mophie Battery Case and a Cheaper wallet case for my 6. Or maybe scrap the wallet case and get a Apple silicon case.

90 dollars for a wallet case. i want videos of them being hand made. hahahah jk

I haven't had a case on the last 3 phones that I've had. Dropped each of them maybe once or twice but that's it and they've never broken.

Do you guys find that you really need a case because you drop your phone a lot, or is it more for style?

definitely dropping, i always get cases i like but with enough bulge on the front so that if it lands on flat surface, the screen doesnt hit the ground.

As for the wallet cases, its usually not the case, there is no bulge to keep it from being super thick and i dropped it a lot, fortunately my 5S didnt at all even when i dropped it from chest length on wood floor and tile floor. (The Smart Phone gods have blessed me)

4S i never dropped, i had a case that was the same as the first one i described in this post and it never broke.

where as the 3GS ^had same type of case, but the silicon or rubber wasn't sturdy and tight enough and it broke once. and got it fixed.

The mophie battery pack i need when i travel and for over night stays (getting to drunk and staying at a friends or getting lucky! [i just wished it happened more often]), but i get it every other model. Because i use my old phones for international sim cards when on business trips (because current ones are locked ) and by the time its over 2 years old the battery starts seeing that wear and tear. so when i get mophie pack i use it for a good 4-5 years before its called quits.

but on a side note, every time i come back from a trip whether a domestic or international i get too faded when i come back (please no judgement over marijuana and no off topics) and i recently dropped my iPad Air for the first time. Glass replacement from apple $300 (might as well buy a new one) and 3rd party was $120. of course i picked the latter, but the glass isnt all the way tight (one speck of lint went in) and the home button is loose. First iPad i dropped over 2 models.

but still aint getting a case! only smart covers for the iPad!

That's why I think an accidental warranty is really important for people that drop their stuff sometimes. It's so much cheaper than buying a new phone/tablet

i never got insurance, i did the first year, but i think its over after you break it once? and you cant get it again?

thats what i heard about applecare, i don't know what other brands offer, let alone what applecare costs anymore.

i usually upgrade every contract year, unless if its a different screen size because we need it for work.

Well at least my lil bro gets a free 64 GB iPhone 6 while i buy my 6S next year.

I rarely drop my phone. maybe once a year. I never buy insurance either. Definitely don't do it for style or fashion.

Just piece of mind. Knowing when I do drop it, I'm okay.
