The frustration from my end is that we gave up guys who fit pretty nicely with Lebron for someone who doesn't (Westbrook) and our hands got chained in the process. I don't think Westbrook is tradable until the summer and we are stuck with him. That leaves us with no tradable assets to significantly improve the roster this year. They have to hope that internally the guys become healthy and available. But you have the Frank Vogel factor who hasn't put them in optimal positions either when they were healthy.
Who hasn’t had them all to this day to put in optimal positions. Such as the roster was constructed. Agree mainly on hating AC was not retained.
again, westbrook isn't the problem despite the bad fit. he's played well most of the season the roster is just too flawed for this team to be any good because of all the undersized shooters who don't play D and can't rebound. the FO figured AD-bron-westbrook will be good enough to carry the load and didn't even think about defense. this isn't cleveland lebron where he can just carry teams to wins. he's trying his hardest but he's got no help because there's simply no effort from the rest of the team. and on top of that, there's the inability to rebound and hit FTs. might as well just throw in the towel on this season because this team isn't going anywhere with the way the roster is built
It’s the fact that adding Russ, removed the guys who did all of the dirty work( defense, steals, rebounding, deflections, effort every night). There wasn’t any money left to add any of these guys back once Russ was brought in.
Maybe we have been playing down to the level of competition, and this is what we need to finish the year strong lol
