ibaka basically can't defend any position very well anymore. had the lakers signed him, all anyone would talk about is what a bust he's been.

leonard, george, and batum can all guard 2-4, and that's good. in retrospect, getting batum would have been nice. i thought he was done, but he wasn't.

this is grass-is-greener stuff, imo. i don't see how det can be real happy paying grant that much when he's clearly not going to be a star and they're in last place. they should look to move him for someone with more upside, like THT. people have turned really quickly on him here. he's played 15 games this year. about half of them have been pretty good. some REALLY good. but we act like he's been crap.

of course, everyone said kuz was terrible, too. sometimes guys just need to be put in better spots. THT isn't a spot up corner three point shooter. it's not surprising he's not thriving as such, nor is it a commentary on his ability going forward. no sane team would use his skills in this way. but we're forced into it because our roster was built stupidly.

    Bron isn't going anywhere.

I think the Lakers are dangling THT. Just make sure it's the right deal.

    If you're all in
Ibaka hasn't been right since his back injury.

He wouldn't have played much for us.

Guess he would have fit in now that I think about it.

Grant can be a good fit. I really liked the way Denver deployed him.

If we can replicate that, we'll be better on the fon the floor. How much? I don't know.

Also, he is injured and isn't slated to come back for a few more weeks.

i like grant in his denver role, but that's why he left denver (he wanted his det role). so any trade would require assurances that he'd be happy defending and standing in the corner on offense.

full circle: THT reminds me a bit of evans with his strength and shiftiness on the dribble. evans never really improved, and i think he had a career-long drug issue that only went partially detected.

What is this? Ball Sack Thursday? In a matter of 2 minutes, I have had to look at Shannon Sharpe, Skip Bayless and this piece of s***'s face.

Nothing from these used condoms have any useful information when it comes to the Lakers and Lebron. ZERO!

I’d trade THT/DJ to Houston for Christian Wood. Wood is such a versatile big. Can shoot the 3, block shots, rebound and run the floor. He also isn’t afraid to bang down low despite his slender frame. He’s the guy I was hoping we’d gotten when we gave our MLE to Trezz last summer. A Wood/AD/Lebron frontcourt would be scary on both ends of the floor.

Suddenly, Collison wants to play? I mean, he was a good player and someone we could have used, but is he even is shape now?

If we need to sign a Bunch of washed retirees to 10 day contracts, honest to god - let’s bring in Lamar Odom and Metta World Peace lol.

they can’t possibly be worse than Darren Collison, and at least they have size and can play multiple positions.

it would be a blast from the past just to watch Odom play his game in this era. His skill set would have thrived in todays NBA

Too bad Odom wasn't even able to play in the Big3 anymore and Metta literally has a gut now. :(

Those guys are too tall. Coach only called Fisher to gauge interest.

I’m guessing there is some sarcasm here and I shouldn’t be taking this seriously, but for what it’s worth:

Collison’s last season was 2019 during which he averaged 12 points and 6 assists, 47% from the field, 41% from 3. He is now 34 years old.

Odom’s last season was 2013. Metta’s last season was 2017. They were both already washed up at the time and at the end of the rotation. Both are now 42 years old.

Despite all the jokes, if Collison has stayed in shape, he may be one of the better pickups in terms of all the recent ex-retired players being signed across the league.

Someone's about to get fired. Did they lie to Rob about Stan Jo's height? How'd they sneak in someone over 6-4?

Joking aside, I imagine this was the plan all along but the Bulls beat us to it or at the time we couldn't give Stan a time frame of when we planned to bring him up. This is a better gig for him than the Bulls (not sure if the 10 days are up and/or they had enough players come out of protocol that they had to let him go) because there's actually a need on the regular roster for what he can do... long after our guys are healthy.

DC could be useful if there's something left. I imagine it'll be like IT, we'll get a couple games out of him and then conditioning will win out and he'll look done.

Theoretically it's nice to see if focus on a couple of capable defenders. Hope they can help.

Johnson never made it to Chicago. He landed in COVID protocols, so this will be his first NBA action of the season.
