THT and IT are not NBA level players tonight. IT looked really good in the other games. THT might not be recovered from his covid protocol. But it's much easier to stomach when the guy on a 10 day plays like that vs. the guy making $10m a year.
I said I’d give the team until Christmas to really evaluate it and here we are. Just not seeing what it takes to have a decent playoff run much less a title out of these guys. The roster moves just aren’t working. The coaches don’t know how to Utilize the parts. and once again the injury bug is killing any chance for these guys to develop chemistry and get in a groove playing together. we’re not close to the top teams and I’m not seeing us getting there. As always when I go doom and gloom, I’d love to be wrong.
We did add shooters, 2 of these guys just aren’t them. Monk, Ellington, Melo, and Ariza are all decent to very good shooters. Nunn is supposed to be a shooter as well, and Bazemore WAS a shooter before this year. As for this game, I expected to lose going in, the Suns have owned us since they got CP3. When they got up 20 I was just like, yeah, that’s about right. Every time we play an actual contending level team this season we lose by 20 or so. I guess if I have a complaint it’s that Vogel or Fiz the lineups are still baffling. Dwight is cleared so we start Jordan and he doesn’t play at all? Some of those small lineups, I.. why?
I get it, but to be that small and survive in the NBA, you need to be either an exceptional floor general, or scorer, or both. Mac just doesn’t have nearly enough talent to make it.
oh we're done. but i'm still unimpressed with the top teams this year. i know everyone's gaga for phx, but they've been incredibly healthy and returned literally everyone. i'm wagering they don't win it all this year. the injury bug will visit them, and probably gs, too. the west will likely be a free for all come playoff time. the question is will we even be there, tbh.

Usually by now you know if you have a decent team or not. This team would have to have an epic turnaround at this point to make any noise in the playoffs. If they make the playoffs, any top seed would be licking their chops to play us. Just not that good at this point. And we're spending a LOT of money to be crappy. I wouldn't expect that to be allowed to continue very long. LeGM might just lose his GM card. Also might not be too many players interested in playing with him in his twilight years if he can't adjust his game and play a supporting role. I never saw this ending all that well, but hopefully he proves all the naysayers wrong.
yeah, we've said it ad nauseum, but it's 2012, almost exactly. we will keep waiting for the team to get whole and turn it on , and it's never going to happen. much like that year, we'll never actually see the team we were expecting.
