Irresponsible reporting at best. Flippantly throwing players names around for content because they aren't that great at their job. This is today's journalism.

I blame Woj. Everyone is so desperate to break news that they make up stuff to try to be relevant.

Why not? We messed up by trading for him. He clearly does not fit and his salary also comes into pay in terms of trades. I don't see what the big deal is about trading him.

I doubt they know internal conversations have taken place, so to flippantly throw that out there is just typical reporter hack job clickbait IMHO.

If the Lakers acquire Hield and Turner, that would be pretty solid. Lets say we get Hield and Bagley in a multi team trade that sends out Westbrook. Then, we get Turner for THT, Nunn, and Jordan. This solves multiple problems:

    1. Solves the primadonna wus AD does not want to play center problem. Turner is pretty much the ideal center to put next to AD. Actually, all we need is a dude that could hit threes and defend centers. The fact that he is the premier shot blocker in the NBA and is at a reasonably low salary is a huge bonus.

    2. Turner's rim protection lessens the need for defense at the other positions. Having not one, but two big time rim protectors gives us the luxury of going with below average defenders, such as Hield and the Melos of the world.

    3. Hield and Turner both have reasonable salaries. Their combined salaries are less than a third star (like Westbrook), and they are cost controlled for a few more years.

Yeah this is a steaming load of horse crap. He’s got the opt out next year plus no way would the FO allow something to leak or get out and trash the team’s relationship with Russ by him finding out they were shopping him already when he’s been lifting his game and is not the main reason for the bad losses. And the relationship with LeBron and AD as well as they would have to know about a move of that magnitude since they brought him in. Unless they’re both snakes like Kahwi, and whatever else is written about them I don’t believe that.

Meh...what GM is going to pony up the assets to match Westbrook 's salary for a half a season? That's nonsense, he has a player option next season. Beyond the obvious reasons of Lebron and AD wanting him, and the Lakers moving heaven and earth to get him. That player option kills any speculation about him getting traded.

Maybe we asked Portland if new management was ready to move Dame and I imagine that's about it. Way too soon to discuss any Russ deal without it looking like a massive failure for GM Bron and Rob. Plus moving the Cali kid before we even have our big 3 playing together for any consistent stretch would be a bad look.

Additionally f*** Bleacher Report for doing that. I hope someone in the Lakers organization rips them a new one and shuts them out for it. A solid bet Yahoo will have it splashed in headlines soon and other outlets who all will just quote BR.

I don't see Westbrook being moved. It just doesn't make any sense.

is...is that because...they're literally the only role players on above-minimum salaries?

"of available superstars to trade, teams have interest in only lebron, AD, or westbrook. the others are crap."

and lol at westbrook for rubio/love. or wall. how is this kind of "reporting" allowed?

Trading for him didn't make sense either. A lot don't make sense. We need to open our minds a little bit though. They might surprise us with a big trade(s), their could be a small trade(s), or it could be status quo.

It's Hollywood...Lebron and the Lakers. There is always going to be a narrative. Lebron is getting old, the Lakers are old, AD is soft, Russ doesn't fit, Vogel can't coach, it will probably flip to something else before the season is over. The Lakers are loaded, the NBA should do something about teams stacking players, the League allowed the Lakers to fill up on guys playing for minimum contracts, when those guys could have received more money elsewhere. It's a conspiracy to prop up Lebron...on and on. It's going to always be something.

Again what NBA GM would be foolish enough to pony up 40 plus million in assets for a short term rental on Westbrook. Name a few of those teams you have in mind.

westbrook's not going anywhere unless we have some catastrophic injuries.

i'm sure nunn's being shopped simply because we can't afford to wait and should be worried about setbacks.
