I think Bradley helps more than he hinders but I’m in the minority here for sure. Hopefully Vogel will actually play Reaves tonight. No excuse not to.
i hope he gives reaves a shot at starting. i could see him going ellington, but given his own comments, reaves seems like the right choice. i think monk needs to come off the bench; he's best there, imo.
If he's out anywhere close to that, time to stop payment on the non-guaranteed deal and get Stan Jo in here.
That’s one area where Vogel excels and we forget to talk about. He’s got the “a players’ coach” reputation for a reason. Doesn’t give up on guys. Remember when early in our championship season everyone wanted KCP’s head? Vogel stuck by him and made him a better player. Right now AB is running through walls for him on defense and my god how he’s shooting so well with that brace on his thumb is beyond me.
I never gave up on him because he, Austin, and Bazemore(when he gets in) are the only guys who play hard on defense throughout every game.
Reaves too. My hope for him is he can keep improving his footwork and technique and get closer to what AC does man to man.
Glad to see AB getting some props. I've been in his corner since his signing and still am though he has gone through some putrid offensive slumps. Nice that he's hitting at a really high rate these last two games despite that thumb injury and cast. As I've mentioned many times here I don't really expect that to continue so much. He's not really a shooter. I'm just glad he tries hard on D and that's why Vogel trusts him. For the life of me though I do not understand starting him and THT. The spacing is just horrendous. Either Reaves or Ellington would be nice to see for one of the two. Honestly I think THT would be much better off the bench. I'd probably stick with AB.
I was impressed with his game last night and it's good he's feeling more confident. I do agree with lakerjones about THT in the starting lineup. If Bradley can shoot like this, really need to maximize the spacing with Duke out there with him.
Ellington looks good out there doesn’t he? What a quick and great looking release. Plus he’s a highly mobile shooter, something we haven’t had since ? Not catch and shoot only type of sniper, can shoot off the dribble and run defenders through screens. Been hitting good % of his shots and playing much better than expected defense.
Hard not to like the guy. He makes some questionable offensive decisions, isn't the ideal size for his position, and doesn't have a lot of offensive skills. But the guy works and is willing to give everything he has. I think in the Bubble season, didn't he kind of do the same thing as KCP, start out bad and then really started revving it up? If memory serves he looked like the 3rd best player on that team often before the Covid hit.
