I’m sure they’re being super careful to not reaggrivate the hammy and lose him for more time. Wasn’t his formal status for the game “questionable”?
Rob needs to do Vogel a favor and waive Bradley so he is forced to NOT play him. I would love for him to do the same with DJ...just completely unplayable
DJ is a deep bench guy who is big and you can use him in rare cases for some extra fouls/physical enforcement. Bradley is just too small as I said so many times. I don't get the signing.
You didn't get that all our guards we were counting on to be semi capable of playing some defense were out, after letting go KCP, AC and sometimes effective in bothering the point Schroder, and Reaves as well? With a non guaranteed contract?
He hasn't played good defense: the dude tries but he's getting burnt a lot out there. I think he's clearly lost a step from the pre-bubble days. His lack of size, shooting, and athleticism is just glaring out there right now
I think Vogel is rewarding Monk and Ellington for their defensive efforts with regular minutes now, but Reaves would be great starting at the 2 and better in every way than Bradley. Don’t know if they would leap frog THT though. Austin is a great passer too with zip always on the ball whatever type of pass being thrown.
Another 0-fer. He's on track for his 1 really good vs. 5 downright awful game routine. Cunningham dwarfed him. Didn't realize the size difference in that matchup until the replay of Cade scoring over him in the post.
Talk about being unproductive. Yeah, he plays some D, sure. But he often ends up on a bigger guy and just gets abused. Lots of 0s in this one.
Fixed. Think about it for a minute how many problems that would help to solve. One of the best pure shooters on the team (sorry THT) and plays more effective overall defense (sorry Duke) even as a rookie, who is almost 6’6” and has shown he’s effective switching onto even bigger guys. Great passing fundamentals and speed on them. That simple chest pass to LeBron for his 3 point conversion was a bullet and right where Bron needed it. There were a couple others or and least one other in traffic that were “beauts” as well even if not converted with the resulting attempts. Every time he’s in we see these passes. A scorer, a defender and a playmaker.
At some point here with the ever present financial considerations Avery’s going to be let go before the have to pay him in full deadline.
is vogel's long game to give all the vet sgs a chance at starting before finally giving their job to reaves? just so that he could say they got a fair shot? ellington's up next, then we're out of options!
