Mac with 24 and Chaundee with 23. Why opposing dudes’ scores up above that pic? Losers. https://gleague.nba.com/games/20211105glisbl/
WHOA! Didn't know this happened. Vogel right now.. Seriously though, can't be worse than Baze. Could actually give us perimeter size.
The way the Lakers have been handing out 2 way contracts and then yanking them back …. if I was that less than husky white center they just handed Ayaiy’s (sp? … glad he’s gone could never remember ) to … I’d be looking over my shoulder. What’s been Johnson’s biggest problems in the NBA, by the way?
When AB and THT are the only options for Tatum ... he can't do any worse than that. He's actually close in size. Had 15 points, 4 boards and 4 steals in his debut for the G-League squad.
stanley is a prime candidate for our bizarro shooting theory. he's been a plus-defender the past two years in toronto. i'd love to see him get a shot to supplant one of our small guards (can definitely see him taking bradley's spot later in the year). chaundee probably deserves a shot, too, though stan has already proven he's an nba defender, which matters to me when i'm trying to win right now.
Yeah having done it for 6 years at this level vs a first timer is a big time edge. Interested in seeing Brown's development in our system after a couple years, though. Being as cash strapped as we are, we're going to need our scouting department and development coaches to continue to knock it out of the park... and Ifully expect them to. I imagine we're probably waiting to see what Ariza left before possibly bringing Stan up? (a** backwards but on brand with our decision making) Which will also coincides-ish with when we have to make a decision on AB's contract.
Mac McClung high scorer again with 19, and high minutes. 6 TOs though. Weird though …. he and Johnson and Brown … all the guys with highest minutes (and we won the game) … all sucked with - ratings on the +/-. https://gleague.nba.com/games/20211117glisbl/ Never mind that was today’s game I guess(?) against the Ignite, which we lost.
Jeezus I’d hope so having only been in the league 6 years. And my nextdoor neighbors’ gardener who I have referenced in the past is almost certain that would bring back @TheRealDeal. Wouldn’t that be cool?
Maybe Frank should give Huff some playing time and probably start since he likes to Dwight's energy for the bench squad. Huff is a 7'1 3 & D Center. Gives Bron and Russ room to attack to paint with Huff on the court.
yeah, i'm wondering how many more games the vet guards and dj get before someone decides to shuffle the deck. everyone's expecting vogel to be fired after our inevitable home loss to boston this week, but will there be no accountability anywhere else?
Real thought exercise here. If the current Lakers supporting cast outside of Lebron/AD/Westbrook got replaced by the OKC thunder roster (minus Shai Alexander - he’s too good for this exercise), would the Lakers be better or worse than they are now? Reason why I’m thinking about this is because the OKC Thunder are basically a really good G-League team, but a awful NBA team that was able to beat us twice already. If your conclusion at the end of this thought exercise is the Lakers would be better with OKC’s supporting cast instead, maybe the mistake in the off-season was that we signed a bunch of old guys when we should have signed the best players in the G-League. I mean, has anyone ever thought about the fact that we aren’t very good at defense or offense right now because our supporting cast is just old? They are trying but just can’t execute like they used to 10 years ago. Before you think this is blasphemy, in this scenario… instead of playing time going to DeAndre Jordan, Bazemore, Bradley, Ellington it would go to guys like Austin Reaves, Huff, Chaudee Brown, and Stanley Johnson. How much worse can it possibly be lol.
You’re equating age with ability, but I think it’s motivation. And the bigger issue is that it starts with our stars.
