Can ANYONE provide ANY real DATA showing which players came to each and every team LeBron played for because he asked for them to be there, since entering the NBA? I think not.

Huh? What does that even mean? Are you now saying that he has nothing to do with the roster on the teams he plays for?

Chris Bosh, Ray Allen, Anthony Davis...hell he prompted the Cavs to swap out the roster TWICE in the same season, and STLL go to the Finals.

JR Smith holdout contract. Cleveland would have let him walk if it wasn’t for Bron. Same situation with Tristan Thompson. LeBron gets his friends paid whether it’s a smart decision or not. It does affect the flexibility of a franchise once he comes to your team. If for some reason, Russ doesn’t pan out it will be the somewhat of the same situation. The only difference is his contract is only 2 years.

And he went to the Finals with those guys too correct? Russ has an opt out next season. If we get to the Finals will this be some kind of bad gamble? I forgot to point out that he wanted Kevin Love too, that worked. Now Cleveland over paying Love wasn't his fault. I have zero problems with his friends getting a ride if we are playing for chips.

If the current standings hold, we would not get out of the 1st round.

That would make it 3 out of 4 years Lebron's Lakers failing to make it out of the 1st round. That is a colossal failure. It would give more credence to 2020 being a Mickey Mouse ring deserving of an asterisk. (In the court of public opinion)

Return of Lebron solves some problems but also exposes other unaddressed problems on this team. This team needs a lot of work.

NOBODY makes the playoffs in November. The entire team isn't even playing, including Lebron. I'm not buying the notion that Lebron, Tucker, Nunn and even Ariza missing, means absolutely nothing. It's is more about James than them though. LOL. Who really thought the "young core" was going to do anything? I had them in the lottery and being shipped out for a superstar the minute James signed. I mean seriously, those kids haven't even been on a team with a winning record yet.

would it? i would say it just meant we got the last healthy lebron season that year, and we got one more title than 27 other teams got during the lebron era.

also, no way we get AD without lebron.

    also, we'd be the knicks.

just a huge win no matter what happens going forward.

Competing for a title is all about

    1) Stars meshing together on the court
    2) Role players complimenting the stars on the court
    3) Team 's identity ( or at least developing it)

There is 0 evidence for ^ any of the three things currently happening with the current coach and roster. You're grasping for the wind. GSW is on fire and they get Klay back who only strengthens all 3 aforementioned aspects of a championship team

Even AD feels the same way

If Lebron is gonna call himself the greatest, barely eeking out 1 title under unordinary circumstances isn't laudable. If we don't convincingly win this year, it is a definite testament to Lebron's Laker tenure so far being a failure. The amount of roster turnover and moves made to appease Lebron...it all falls on him and points back to him.

Sure our draftee kids were never gonna take us to title contention...but if you're gonna call yourself the greatest, the expectation of being a title contender every year can be expected.

My WMC is the amount of WMCing after only 12 games with quite a few guys missing.

Sorry Rock, I am going to disagree here. He came here, made us relevant again, won the championship. That's a huge success in my eyes.

You're gonna hear about it more as the year progresses, you might as well get ready for it. The Bubble was not a legit ring IMO.

The team has not replicated that high level of basketball from the Bubble in the other seasons.

All that is somehow done in November man? Is that your hot take on the subject? There is zero evidence that all of the guys playing today, are even going to be in the rotation a month from now, but you've seen enough to know it aint going to work? Meh....shoot me some lotto numbers please, your future sight ability is amazing. That man came here and in one season transformed this franchise, that doesn't mean anything to you? The Lakers had the best record in the West before the pandemic hit, was that a mirage too? I mean since you can call it all early in the season.

I will say this too. I don't care at all about Lebron's legacy. Only in how it relates to my Lakers. FWIW The GOAT is a Laker period...take your pick. The man has produced for 3 different teams. People seem to hate on him by saying it was this guy, that guy, that's why he won. Yeah but he won without all of them too, and they didn't win jack without him. They can give more credit to AD, Russ, Melo whoever when we win this chip. I don't care, they are all Lakers. If that guys brings another chip to my Lakers, he can call himself whatever he wants for all I care. Kareem will always be my GOAT. Still he's a Laker regardless.

Pfft Golden State...Steph feared this dude so much, that he went and begged KD to come and join him on a 70 win team. Now James came to his house and already won a title. Steph ain't ever winning another one as long as James is in LA.

The Bubble was only a little over a year ago.

Of course it's legit. Every ring is legit. Teams competed, we won.

teams got to get healthy going in, too. Contrast it with last year’s bizarre war of attrition.

Worst quarter I've seen any NBA team play. Ever. As a Falcons fan I start getting PTSD twitchy when my team collapses in epic fashion in he second half (f*** you Patriots!).

I really don't understand how AD, Russ, Melo, Rondo and any other shooter can't use all their combined IQ and NBA experience to get at least 1 goddamn basket. One. Just start there.

I thought the Portland game was the slap in the face we needed. We shouldn't need such drastic wakeup calls every few games. I'm fine if we lost, we played A LOT of basketball in the last two games. But just compete. Just a little. 5 fans could've been picked at random and they would not have done any worse in the 3rd.

Same. I swear the lakers have the most spoilt fan base. The level of negativity is really suprising and grates on my nerves.

We are one year removed from a title with the same core of stars and we’ve added a third star plus turned over the rest of the team with a lot of new interesting pieces. The way some people talk it’s like we are back on Jim Buss’ teams missing the playoffs with no way out.
