I’d love to be optimistic but I think Miami and Chicago both smoke us. My optimism is we seem to be playing a little better each game and the new guys are learning their spots. We should be getting THT back sometime this month, I would think.

I don't know that I can bear to watch the Bald Eagle playing on an opposing team. The wound is still raw.

We knew the pace was going to go way up when we acquired Russ, but what's impressive to me about our pace is we're doing to without our 4th and 5th highest paid players who equate to half of our young core. The senior citizens are moving really fast in their motorized wheelchairs.

I'm pretty sure this is how the league saw us coming into the season

As others have stated, this is why Russ is here. He’s gotta bring it with LeBron gone.

Highlight of the night: that bum Muscala getting booed while shooting his free throws.

THT, Nunn, Ariza are arguably our best perimeter defenders. If the lakers still play like this once they are fully integrated, im gonna worry.

Of course. When they are back we can finally put Bron and Russ back where they belong -- the bench.

Straws man. I get it, but no. THT isn't a great defender. Nunn is too small to guard anything but, may be, Isiah Thomas. Ariza is not what he used to be.

Our best defenders, in the following order: Dwight, AD, Bron and then Reaves (who'd be 1st if ref didn't rookie-treat him).

AR played the last 8-9 minutes of desperate crunch time in the 4th. That was a great sign and clearly shows how much Vogel trusts him. It is too bad he doesn’t have the ball in his hands more to create plays. Closest he can come to that while not trying to do something of that nature he hasn’t been given the green light to do are the pump fake 3’s when he doesn’t have the space to get the catch and shoots off ….. and then drives to the vicinity of the FT line looking to find someone else open while he’s in traffic there. And most of the time he does.

That's awesome, I absolutely love this kid. He made a few key plays against Houston, really gives me Caruso feels.

I know today is a bad day, but I have a feeling that we will click and be competitive against Miami and the Bulls. We are used to play bad against poor teams and well against good ones. I have the feeling we are the contender franchise with the least blowout wins, we just don't play well against lottery teams usually, mostly due to lack of effort but then click against the greatest teams

I really only have one positive thing to say about this team right now: despite my disgust at the level of play over the last 9 games, the fact that we have given OKC their only two wins of the season, my general despondency over our roster flexibility for the next two seasons, and the fact that our GM wears v-neck t-shirts to every occasion despite being a man in his 50s . . . I still absolutely love this team and spend all day looking forward to the next game.

Maybe the Thunder are actually not that bad? Other than that, all I can say is it's still early in the season and we didn't have Bron. Hopefully we don't lose too many games without him, but also I don't want to see him playing 38 minutes a game, at least not until the playoffs.

    Outstanding performance.

Can't wait until Miami and Chicago.

I wouldn't want nobody else leading us but Westbrook.

Umm.. Westbrook is a large expiring I guess? And everyone else is on one year deals so at least we won’t have to see a repeat of this next season. Also, can’t be disappointed in an early playoff exit if you don’t make the playoffs, so there’s that.

It's only November. If we're playing like this and have these injury concerns in February, then I'll worry. When your coach and three best players all tell you to expect a rough start, they're not just saying that. Players and teams aren't going to go out of their way and try to panic fans. They were warning people to not jump off the ledge too soon.

Honestly, we weren't winning this one. I don't care if AD was not puking and Russ had a career night. Dame wasn't having it. He has two advantages over us...1) he's a Laker killer. He only puts up more against GS. 2) he had one of the worst games of his career against Indy and only had 4 points. He set the tone tonight and if needed, he would have put up 55 on us.

Good news: Bron will be back in a week or two.
