It would be bother me a lot more if he said it now. Considering GS picked up his $5.9 million contract I’m sure he was quite happy with them at the time.
golden state is absolutely one of the league's best-run and classiest organizations, imo. he's just telling the truth. they're the modern SA. and like SA, when curry goes, they go. i don't know how to feel about that, but it is what it is. the jaded way to consider it is: luck/skill your way into a franchise player who's also a great person and you just win and win and win. SA with duncan, dallas with dirk, gs with curry. what can you do after? SA: pfft dal: pffft gs: ???
He signed a non guaranteed contract, it was not for 5.9 million and the comment is from this month. He signed a camp invite and would be making 2.6 million if guaranteed and that is the same amount he will make with the Lakers. According to the other link he was cut against Curry and Draymond wishes. So maybe GS isn’t so great at following their stars wishes. Especially for a 15th man spot. Seems strange they would go against Curry and something he wanted. The Warriors signed Bradley, 30, to a non-guaranteed contract on Sept. 24. The Athletic's Marcus Thompson II reported Sunday, citing team sources, that the Warriors released Bradley against the desires of Curry, Draymond Green and other veterans on the roster. https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/w...ains-avery-bradleys-case-warriors-roster-spot
Such a quick ascension and crash in the course of 3 quarters (4th of GS to 2nd Q of this one). Yikes! Sadly he's still one of our best defenders for now.
Defense is constant no matter how mediocre it is at this point. The problem is just no chemistry with Russ around and I don’t blame WB but it would take months with Russ as usual to acclimate himself
Fair enough Cookie but again, this was from before when they picked him up, not now. He says he’s happy he’s a Laker now so I wouldn’t take that as a disrespect to our organization. GS is a well run op.
As soon as I praise him he does this. Im just not gonna say anything anymore. Hope he defends well, that’s it
That's more of what I expected from him anyway. Not even going to bother complaining anymore. Have I even mentioned we should've signed a wing? If only Ennis was interested in signing with us.
eh, two teams passed on luka and a third traded him to dallas. it wasn't all luck. unless you're talking about dirk, whom 8 teams passed on and one traded. duncan was all luck, though. it's a skill. btw, hadn't read about bradley's kid. mine were both the same way (had gotten serious lung complications/pneumonia from non-covid infections in the year prior to the pandemic), and i wasn't taking any chances at that time. at all. i would have left, too.
Duke may wind up being the odd man out unless he “really” lights it up from 3 as doubtful his D will be up to par and we have multiple guys shooting that well that are more valuable because of size (Melo) or D or all around games. Where’s his must have minutes coming from? Especially when Rob pulls his targeted get at the deadline out of the hat. Finally that bigger wing stud …. right?
