curry maybe, but i'd like to see reaves get a shot at poole, who also gets by on being more clever and skilled than athletic.
I still don’t get the Caruso comps. Their games are nothing alike. Austin’s shot is much more pure, and he has much better handles. Caruso obviously is much more athletic and is a much better defender at this point( I think Austin can significantly improve in this area). I haven’t seen enough of Reaves on ball to make a fair assessment of his passing abilities. They both are intelligent players who happen to have the same skin color. That’s not enough for a realistic comp.
Who is saying they are similar players, beyond as you and pretty much everyone agreeing both are 6’5”, play good to really good defense, are white and yes very high IQ players who instinctively have good awareness on the floor? Those areas in themselves are important and worthy of comparison (especially both being white ). The differences have been detailed too.
Where do you disagree with HbK and the Eagle in: Both white Both 6’5” Both play good (Reaves coming out) to great (Caruso 4 years in) Defense Both highly intelligent awareness on the floor That’s all anyone is saying so far with “white” in there for humor. Their differences I and others have stated as well.
And conversely, god I hope not. "BUST" with disgusting personal habits. Not to mention Austin isn't like one of the two top scorers coming out of college, who also was 3 inches taller.
