I rather put Rondo money towards a C, Davis money towards backup PG, I just practically refuse to sit Clarkson. The guy went toe to toe with Lillard and Paul in his rookie season, with a team that received the number two pick, and he makes peanuts. Take advantage, let the Clark train keep on rolling.
Even though I think there's a strong possibility that the Lakers pick up Rondo, I really hope they don't.. If they can't pry Dragic away from Miami or Knight away from PHO (which I don't think will happen), then I'd rather see them pick up a veteran backup like Mo Williams or CJ Watson & let Clarkson take the lead.
I'm not as down on Rondo as most, but I just love the plan that real wrote out. I wonder what would happen if we got Russell though?
Would Love to see something like this.. Clarkson/Mo Williams Kobe/Young/Brown Carroll/Randle Aldridge/Randle/Kelly Okafor/Davis
Ray Allen, Paul pierce and KG couldn't keep Rondo "in check" and thats 3 HOFers from Kobes era. No nonsense guys with great leadership. Rondo would be a HUGE mistake.
I can't decide what's worse: rondo on a one-year deal worth below what he values himself or rondo on a long-term deal of any sort both have explosive potential. and I'm a bigger rondo fan than most around here. I just think his stint in dallas was just awful in terms of what it said about his character. I mean, you can't fit in for a few months on a winning team, if only to boost your value in FA? had he simply faked it and played nice, he'd be looking at a max deal right now. and he couldn't. that's pathology. he should go to sacramento. I think being the biggest name they've added in a while might help him behave, and it's not like there's a culture to ruin. that place is a cesspool.
Read the Nuggets are trying to get the Kings to bite on the #6 for Lawson. Really hoping that falls through because the Kings are one of the few other possible spots for Rondo.
Damn you make one joke about Rondo and all ya'll freak out lol Re: Lawson- What I've heard is that no one wants him. The Nuggets offered and the Kings said no. I believe the Kings think there's a legit chance Mudiay falls to them and they'd rather just go that route.
I think it all depends on what Phil does at 4. Who he takes or if he trades it. There's at least 3 lottery teams looking to deal and everyone is waiting on that domino to fall. Karl likes Lawson, so it depends on how much pull he has there. I think we could see a few big moves on draft night depending on how the Zen Master plays this
I'd love to know where we stand after the draft before I decide who I'd like to see us get in free agency. I wish we could get Kawhi but that's the definition of a pipe dream. I like Kevin Love but he's always hurt. Rondo would've been nice 4 years ago maybe. Now, not so much. We need to address the SF position that's for sure. There are so many different ways this can play out. It's exciting to think about it.
